All Samsung Galaxy Phones: Enable USB Debugging Mode (Developer Options Menu)

01:51
Here is a tutorial on how to enable USB debugging mode on all Samsung Galaxy smartphones. In order to turn on USB debugging mode you need to first enable developer options mode! Androids have a hidden menu called developer options because it is mainly used for developers for debugging over usb, capturing error reports and can show cpu usage similar to the task manager in Windows computer and much much more. But there is one feature within developer options that even the average Android user would like to access and its called USB debugging mode. The USB debugging mode would have to be enabled if you are using certain software on your computer and it needs to connect to your Android device via USB cable connection. For instance i just used an application called mobiletrans on my computer to transfer all my photos and videos from my iPhone to my Android phone but in order for the software to connect to my Andriod it will ask me to enable debugging mode to proceed. Some other common reasons you would want to enable debugging mode is if you want to root or install a ROM on your Android device. Here is a link of some good info and informs you of all the settings available: http://www.androidcentral.com/all-about-your-phones-developer-options Hope this helps! How to Enable "Developer Options/USB Debugging" Mode in Android Phones Hi Guys, today we are going to see how to enable "Developer Option" on your android version 4.2 Jelly Bean or Above. You may find it difficult to find the "Developer Option" in your android phone if the version is 4.2 or Higher. Because its hidden. So prepare your self for some finger excersize and find this hidden beast 1) So open the Settings. 2) Scroll Down to the bottom and find the option "About Phone" 3) Again scroll down to the bottom and then find the option "Build Number" 4) In the earlier version of Android the "Developer Option" was available in the About Phone section or right above the About Phone. But now all you need to do is to Tap your fingers 7 times on this Build Number option and the miraculosly the "Developer Mode" will be enabled for you. So tap your fingers for 7 times on this option and once you see the result as "You are now a Developer!" the feature is enabled for you. Just go back to one step and right above the About Phone section you can see the option "Developer Mode". I hope you like the video. All Samsung Galaxy Phones: How to Enable Developer Options / USB Debugging Mode

I show you how to get into developer options mode within your Samsung Galaxy smartphone. -Go to Settings -Some models you then press More others you skip this section. -About device -Build Number - tap 7 times until is says you are now a developer. -Tap on back button and you should see "developer options" icon next to "about device" icon. "Read about each of the settings within the developer options here: http://www.androidcentral.com/all-about-your-phones-developer-options" "Take bug report: Tapping this option grabs the current log files on your device, packages them up and prepares them for sending to, well, whomever you want to have it. It takes a minute or two after you tap it, and you'll see a notification once it's ready. Tap that notification to send it on it's way. Swipe it away to cancel. Desktop backup password: You can use ADB to backup and restore things like apps and their associated data to and from your computer. This option forces a password on those backups, and they can't be restored without that password. Stay awake: Checking this box will force the screen on your phone to stay on anytime and every time it is plugged in. This works with a wall charger or your computer's USB port, and is a great way to make sure you burn images into your screen. Don't use this one unless you need to! Select runtime: Here is where (for now)you choose to use Dalvik or ART. ART is still experimental and what we have now isn't what will eventually be released in Android L. Some phones really don't like the current ART runtime preview, so refer to the forum for your particular device before going there. Enable Bluetooth HCI snoop log: Sometimes, a developer (or security specialist) will need to capture and analyze Bluetooth HCI (Host Controller Interface) packets. Enabling this will place them in a file on the device storage (/sdcard/btsnoop_hci.log) for retrieval. You can then analyze them with a program like Wireshark. Process stats: Everything you ever needed to know about the running processes on your phone. Go ahead and tap it, then tap one of the entries. For the layman, it's just a lot of numbers, but for a developer debugging his or her app, this information might save the day. USB debugging: This is what allows your phone to communicate over the USB port on your computer via the Android Debug Bridge (ADB). You need to enable this to use things like DDMS, or to use ADB commands."
