10 Unique Animals You Won’t Believe Exist

09:42
10 strange and amazing animals that you have probably never heard of. Nature is truly full of surprises! We live in the twenty-first century, and all continents have already been discovered, all secrets of our planet revealed, all mountain peaks conquered. Just when you think you have seen it all, some new bizarre creature makes an appearance instantly restoring your faith in the impossible! TIMESTAMPS Mangalitsa Pig, a.k.a. “a pig in sheep’s clothing” 0:50 Rhinopithecus or golden snub-nosed monkey 1:33 Emperor tamarin 2:13 Patagonian Mara 3:04 Fluffy cow 3:52 Markhor Goat 4:44 Raccoon dog 5:23 Blue Footed Booby 6:25 Malayan Colugo 7:13 Venezuelan Poodle Moth 8:09 BONUS 8:56 SUMMARY - The birthplace of this curly-haired pig is Hungary where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. Due to the fleece covering this animal, it resembles a sheep, therefore, such a name! - The name of this species is roxellana, and there is a story behind it. It is believed that they were called this way after the supposedly snub-nosed courtesan of Suleiman the Magnificent (a 16th century Sultan of the Ottoman Empire). - They were called like this because of the resemblance of their mustache to that of German Emperor Wilhelm II. - Patagonia Mara is the fourth largest rodent on our planet. There are several interesting facts about them. Females often put offsprings into crèches for safety. - Fluffy cows are looked after by people whose work is to wash, dry and use products to style these animals, so they look as fluffy as they do! It is necessary to maintain them daily, and it will take months of regular grooming until they get this lovely look of kids toys. - If you see a creature which looks as if it’s trying to catch an alien radio signal from space, it’s most likely Markhor Goat. They can grow as long as 6 ft from head to tail! - If you can’t decide if you want to have a dog or a raccoon as a pet, we have just the thing for you - raccoon dog! Despite having raccoon-like markings on their fur, they are not very closely related to the North American raccoon. - Blue Footed Booby are to catch your eye if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands. They can look a bit clumsy and comical on land, but they are excellent at flying and swimming. - Colugo has a large gliding membrane (like a flying squirrel), and they can glide for long distances between trees standing far apart. - Even if the Poodle Moth may look as if it lives in Antarctica with all this fur, in fact, it comes from Venezuela, a tropical country. Its hairs don’t serve for heating. BONUS Cloud Antelope! This species lives in the clouds (that’s why such a name)! Its bright blue fur is the reflection of cloudless blue skies in the area of its habitat. Its diet consists of sun rays and candies... HOW ANIMALS SEE THE WORLD

04:12
Did you know that pigeons have better vision than us? Have you ever wondered how animals and birds actually see the world? What do fish see when they look at us? This video will explain all these to the smallest details! TIMESTAMPS Snakes 0:20 Cows 0:35 Horses 0:53 Fish 1:12 Birds 1:32 Eagle 1:50 Pigeon 2:01 Sparrow 2:10 Insects 2:17 Bee 2:32 Rats 2:41 Cats 2:53 Dogs 3:13 Frogs 3:25 Chameleons 3:43 SUMMARY - Vision of snakes differs the most from ours – they sense thermal signatures. Due to the infrared-sensitive receptors on their snouts, some snakes can ‘see’ the radiated heat of warm-blooded mammals. - Cows don’t see colors as clearly as human. You’ve probably never heard about this: they see the world in a red-orange color scheme. - There is a blind spot where horses can’t see at all – directly in front of their faces. This is because of their eye location. Also, horses don't see as many colors as we do. - Fish eyes have ultraviolet receptors and a more spherical lens than we have. They see the world in green, red, and blue colors, but can’t see red and blue. Deep sea fish can easily see in the dark. - As for birds, they have something similar in their vision – unlike humans, birds can see ultraviolet light. Thanks to the structure of their eyes, they can focus on certain places. - Flies have thousands of individual visual receptors that collectively create a broad field of vision. Also, they see the world in slow-motion and can see ultraviolet light. Another insect, a bee, has an unusual vision as well. It's a surprising fact but bees can't distinguish red color at all! For them the color red appears to be dark blue. - Rat vision is quite blurry, and they can’t see red. They also see the world in slow-motion. Each eye moves independently so they can have two images of the world. - Cats don't distinguish red and green shades, and their world is made up of brown, yellow, and blue shades. The cat's field of view is broader than ours so they can see more on the sides. -Dogs can’t see red and orange colors, but they clearly see blue and violet, as well as ultraviolet light. Moreover, they are able to differentiate between 40 shades of gray! - Frogs can notice only moving objects. They can literally starve to death in the abundance of food if the food does not move! Frogs can also focus only on certain things, so they don’t concentrate on what they don’t need (for example, shadows). - The eyes of chameleons can rotate in different directions independently, so they have a 360-degree field of vision. They see two images at the same time: one in the front and the other one behind. 10 Exotic Animals You Can Keep as Pets at Home

12:37
How to keep an exotic pet. It can be a skunk, a fennec, or even a capybara. Above all, it’ll cost you quite a lot of money and effort to take care of one of those creatures. But if you’re ready to accept the challenges and responsibilities, pay attention to these important tips any exotic pet owner must follow. TIMESTAMPS: Capybara 1:08 Fennec 2:23 Axolotl 3:28 Sugar Glider 4:49 Genet 5:56 Hedgehog 6:56 Electric Blue Crayfish 7:43 Kinkajou 8:36 Fox 9:40 Skunk 11:14 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - The capybara is a huge but very friendly rodent that can weigh up to 140 lb. This intelligent animal can make friends with anyone and gets along well with cats, dogs, and birds. You can easily train your capybara, and it won’t show any resistance or aggression. - The fennec is the size of a chihuahua, weighs no more than 3 lb, and is getting more and more popular as a pet. It is an extremely friendly creature that’s full of energy. - Despite being a popular domestic pet, the axolotl is on the verge of total extinction. Catching this amphibian in natural waters is prohibited, but it’s OK to breed it at home. - Sugar gliders are incredibly affectionate and strongly attached to their owners and the animals they live with. Flying squirrels are nonaggressive, and they respond well to voice intonation and can be trained in simple commands. - Genets get really attached to their homes. Despite its exotic looks, the genet is unpretentious. Its main needs are regular feedings and a clean tray. - Hedgehogs are good-natured and have an amazing ability to get used to home conditions quickly. Remember that hedgehogs are predators, and raw meat should be the core of their diet. - The electric blue crayfish need clean water, a large aquarium, and a place to hide in there. - The kinkajou is curious and loves following its owner wherever they go, hanging off their shoulders and sitting on their lap. They don’t really make any trouble and easily adapt to a new home. - Foxes have quite a specific character: they are devoted but independent and very curious, trustful, and playful. Finding a common language with this pet will take a long time, so you have to be patient. - Skunks are affectionate and very loyal, much like dogs. A tame skunk doesn’t use its fetid weapons at home. The main thing is to regularly comb out the animal and trim its claws. #exoticpet #animalplanet #exoticanimal Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

The End of Animal Farming | Jacy Reese | TEDxUniversityofMississippi

13:06
Clean meat — real meat made from animal cells without animal slaughter — and social solutions informed by breakthroughs and historical successes will eventually allow for an ethical and efficient food system where slaughterhouses are obsolete. “Many books and articles have documented how animal agriculture devastates public health, the environment, and animal welfare. Experts predict that the future of food is vegan. But readers and listeners are left with one burning question: How do we actually get from here to there?” I'm a social scientist currently working on my first book, "The End of Animal Farming." I sometimes write articles in outlets such as in Huffington Post and Vox, and I've given talks in 15 different countries on the topics of effective altruism, animal protection, and food ethics. I'm the Research Director at Sentience Institute, a nonprofit, effective altruism think tank launched in June 2017 focused on expanding humanity's moral circle. We're not currently hiring, but I'm always excited to explore new research collaborations. I live in Brooklyn with my partner Kelly, our dog Apollo, and our two chickens Snow and Dualla, who were rescued from battery cage farms. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

The Animal You Spot First Says a Lot About Your Personality

08:33
Our subconscious mind is incredible and can tell a lot about our personality, more than we probably think. Experts say that our subconscious mind is like a storage unit, which holds all of your likes and dislikes, beliefs and fears, memories and skills, it’s built from everything you have seen and experienced, even if you don’t remember it. The interesting thing is that it directly connects to our conscious behavior, and in this instance, your eyes see the full picture but your brain picks first what’s relative to you personally. We at Bright Side like different personality tests and quizzes. This one is just a fun test so don’t take it too seriously. TIMESTAMPS: The zebra 1:16 The cat 1:57 The duck 2:27 The koala 2:56 The elephant 3:32 The bear 4:09 The giraffe 4:50 The pig 5:30 The rabbit 6:04 The lion 6:41 The owl 7:15 #personalitytest #whatdoyouseefirst #yourpersonality Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - If the first animal you saw is the zebra, the words funny, influential and charismatic are all about you. You are very active and spontaneous, you have the most contagious personality, and people always follow you. - If you spotted the cat first, you are the person who doesn’t like talking a lot and some people may think that you are shy. The real reason is that you prefer to watch from a distance and analyze what you see instead of being in the middle of the action. - If you saw the duck first, you are 100% an optimist and absolutely nothing can make you feel down. For you the glass in not half-full or half-empty, it’s always overflowing. You live in the moment and love testing life at its fullest. - If the first animal you saw was the koala, you are very calm and like living every day at your own pace, no matter what. You are a very kind, sensitive, caring, and considerate person and all your friends know that you are literally just one phone call away. - If the elephant is the animal you saw first, you are very genuine and care deeply about everything around you. You are loyal, responsible, and your family and friends can always rely on you. If they need help, they know exactly who to talk to. - If you noticed the bear first, you are very logical, conservative, and traditional, you have high values and build your life according to those. You are quiet and observant, you don’t like noisy company or busy places, and you always seek harmony. - If the giraffe is the first animal you saw, you are a social butterfly and natural cheerleader. You are very flexible, can adapt to any group, and you will become the center of that group in the blink of an eye. - If you saw the pig first, you are very independent and work best when left alone. You have a very sharp mind and it goes 100 miles a minute, so you just have no time to explain it to everybody. - If the rabbit is the first animal you saw, you are very creative, full of energy, and just contagiously happy. Wherever you go, you always bring laughter and joy and everybody wants to be your friend. - If the lion was the first animal you spotted, you are a natural-born leader. You naturally know how to convince people to follow you to achieve a common goal, but sometimes you can have a tendency to be dominant and your power can get a bit overwhelming. - If the first animal you saw was the owl, you are a very analytical and deep-thinking person who prefers to work on your own. You enjoy having quiet time and don’t feel very comfortable in social situations. We hope you will never have to escape from a rhinoceros, swim away from a crocodile, or meet a hungry lion. However, now you will be able to protect yourself in the wilderness. 24 Animals That Are Often Confused for One Another

10:05
How to Tell Similar-looking Animals from One Another. There are approximately 7.7 million species of animals on our planet. With such an abundance of life forms, it's not surprising that people tend to confuse certain animals. We’ll teach you how to tell even the most similar looking animals from one another. You’ll never make the old mistakes again and will be able to easily find the difference between crocodiles and alligators, llamas and alpacas, leopards and jaguars and many other creatures. TIMESTAMPS Rabbits vs hares 0:46 Moths vs butterflies 1:35 Sheep vs goats 2:21 Hedgehogs vs porcupines 3:15 Llamas vs alpacas 4:11 Crocodiles vs alligators 4:56 Sea lions vs seals 5:50 Wasps vs bees 6:37 Frogs vs toads 7:15 Dolphins vs porpoises 7:54 Turtles vs tortoises 8:29 Leopards vs jaguars 9:04 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Hares are typically faster and larger than rabbits. Their ears and strong hind legs are also longer, and they have bigger feet. -Butterflies have club-shaped antennae that look like a thin shaft with a bulbous tip. As for moths, their antennae are either serrated or feathery. -You will notice that sheep hold them down whereas the tails of goats proudly stay up. -Like all rodents, porcupines have big front teeth. As for hedgehogs, their snouts and teeth are pointy, and they are omnivores, feasting on insects, frogs, plants, and fruit. -Mature llamas are much larger than alpacas, whose weight typically varies between 100 lb and 170 lb. As for an adult llama, it can weigh as much as 400 lb. -Crocodiles are the lucky owners of special glands, which they use to excrete excess salt. As for alligators, their salt glands aren't so well developed. That's why they mostly live in fresh water. -Sea lions' flippers are larger and covered with skin. Seals have a thinly webbed flipper, and each small toe has a claw. Seals prefer solitude, and sea lions love gathering in big companies and hanging out with friends. -Bees are hairy: they need this feature to dip into flowers to collect pollen. Also, their rear legs are flat. Bees look more stocky. -The skin of most frogs is smooth, while a toad’s skin is thick and bumpy. Frogs' legs are long and slender, and their eyes are big and bulging. -Most dolphins have pointy faces, curved dorsal fins, and slender bodies. Porpoises have triangular back fins, robust bodies, and rounded faces. -Turtles have webbed feet as they live mostly in water, and this makes swimming easier. Also, their shells are lighter and flatter. -You can find jaguars in Central and South America and sometimes in the southwest of the USA. As for leopards, they dwell in Asia and Africa. Jaguars have smaller spots. Leopards are more slender and a bit smaller than jaguars. 10 Easy Ways to Survive a Wild Animal Attack

09:20
How to survive bear or shark attack? What should you do if you are bitten by a snake? Here're some tips on what to do when you encounter a wild animal and how to survive wild animal attacks. When we meet some wild animals on a picnic or in the woods, we get scared. But we usually don't know what to do in each case as we might not fully realize the danger and act properly. Any warm-blooded animal might be a carrier of rabies. This is a lethal disease that can't be cured. The disease is transmitted through a bite or spit. However sweet an animal seems, you'd better not touch it. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Meeting a moose in the woods 0:27 Meeting a moose or a boar on the road while driving 1:39 Meeting a hedgehog 2:25 If you're attacked by an angry boar 2:58 If there's a bat in your apartment 3:31 If a coyote, a fox, or a jackal noticed you 4:21 If a nestling has fallen out of its nest 4:50 If a dolphin is near you while you're swimming in the sea 5:19 If a dolphin has been washed ashore 6:19 Meeting a shark in the open sea 6:57 Some extra tips 7:59 SUMMARY -Never approach moose calves or make any abrupt movements. -Don’t Press the car horn or blink the lights if you see a moose or a boar on the road. Slowly stop if the animal appears on the road. -Never touch a hedgehog barehanded as you might catch a whole variety of infections, only take it with you if it’s wounded. -Don’t try to outrun an angry boar, climb up a tree instead. -Don’t panic if you find a bat in your apartment. Put on some thick gloves and carefully take it. -Never try to play with a fox, coyote, or a jackal no matter how cute it looks. Instead, stretch out your arms or clothes to give the impression that you have increased in size. -Only try to save a nestling if it has visible damage. -Don’t think that a dolphin can do absolutely no harm to you. Swim away from it if you can. -If you see a dolphin ashore, don’t carry it back to the sea. Speak to rescuers or the coast guard and wait for help near the dolphin. -In case you ever meet a shark, stay still and defend yourself. Punch it on the nose with all your might and try to leave the water. -Don't let your pets play with wild animals. Don't feed wild animals. Never touch young animals. Their parents will be aggressive. 6 Ways to Survive Wild Animal Attacks

08:07
How to survive wild animal attacks? How should you react if confronted by an angry wolf? Before you head out for a hike or to the sea, keep watching to learn how to react to these 6 dangerous animals — and make sure you live to tell the tale! ☝️ If the bear has noticed you, do not make direct eye contact. Simply begin to walk away. If the bear starts to approach you, stand your ground, wave your arms, and speak loudly enough that the bear can hear you. If a bison charges at you, run for cover as quickly as you can. They might look a little slow because they’re so heavy, but they will catch up with you if you don’t hurry. Find cover behind a large boulder or another large object. A shark might attack if he thinks he has to compete with you for food or thinks you’re a big fish. If the situation escalates and it begins to attack you, try to punch some of the shark’s sensitive spots. The nose is a good target, but doing this can leave your hand too close to the shark’s mouth. TIMESTAMPS: Grizzly bear 0:41 Bison 1:51 Shark 3:00 Mountain lion 4:05 Crocodile 5:13 Wolf 6:24 Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - If you’re out in the middle of a forest and encounter a grizzly bear, do not try to outrun it. Bears can charge at up to 40 mph. - If a bison charges at you, run for cover as quickly as you can. They might look a little slow because they’re so heavy, but they will catch up with you if you don’t hurry. - If the shark is close to you but appears to be just passing by, curl yourself up into a ball as best you can, and keep your splashing to a minimum. If it’s circling you, don’t turn your back on it, and maintain eye contact. - If you are alone and you encounter a mountain lion on your trail, you need to channel your inner hunter. The mountain lion will assess if you are prey. - If you’re in the water and a crocodile bites you, you need to fight with all your effort. Crocodiles have the strongest bite of any animal currently living, and they’re rivaled only by the great white shark. - You need to show the wolf that you are not an easy target. Shout loudly, and become aggressive. The wolf might still keep you in sight, but he might back off just enough for you to make your escape. 8 Strange Animals Once Thought To Be Extinct

12:59
When you think of extinct animals, the woolly mammoth and dodo bird are two popular ones that might come to mind. But what if we were to tell you that extinct animals might not be truly extinct after all? Now, we're not trying to say that the woolly mammoth has been hiding in plain sight this whole time, but researchers have rediscovered a few other species of animal that they’d previously believed were gone for good. How could this possibly happen? Well, deforestation and destruction to habitat can sometimes cause the numbers of certain species to dwindle drastically; so drastically that some of the tinier species are able to hide away from the human eye for decades. The horned marsupial frog is one such creature. It actually made a team of biologists jump for joy after they found the species alive in a remote section of western Ecuador. In the case of the coelacanth, this fish was presumed to have gone extinct with the dinosaurs over 65 million years ago. Yet, a living one was then discovered in 1939, changing the way that we viewed extinct animals forever. As this video will soon show you, sometimes extinct animals are simply flying under the radar. Other times, extinct animals evolve to become another species entirely, like the Javan elephant. Even if we are thankfully able to bring some species back from extinction, they still usually only remain in small numbers and are considered critically endangered. Plus, if you thought that deforestation was bad enough, tourists actively looking for the pygmy tarsier can cause the species so much stress that they are known to purposely bash their heads in. So make sure to think of that the next time that you’re out exploring our beautiful world! 10 Cute Animals That Can Actually Kill You

09:08
How to survive a wild animal attack? Some animals look harmless and cute, but they can easily kill you. Could you have ever imagined that some of the nicest-looking animals might seriously harm you? Take a look at 10 adorable but very dangerous animals. To make you feel a little bit better, we added a bonus. TIMESTAMPS Leopard Seal 0:41 Pandas 1:26 Swan 2:25 Anteater 3:08 Tasmanian devil 3:57 Elephant 4:46 Pufferfish 5:28 Poison dart frog 6:05 Dolphin 6:39 Slow Loris 7:30 BONUS FACT 8:24 SUMMARY - Leopard Seals have a very diverse diet: they eat krill, different kinds of fish, marine mammals and King and even Emperor penguins! So, basically, there is almost nothing they can’t eat! - Pandas look so innocent and helpless that they became a symbol of peace and kindness. Their dark eyes make you want to hug them! However, you’d better not mess with a panda. If you accidentally cross its territory, a panda can seriously hurt you. - There was even a case when a man drowned because of a swan attack. A bird charged the man’s boat and capsized it, and after the man tried to swim to the shore, the swan blocked him. - Anteaters look rather scruffy and definitely harmless. However, pay attention to its claws. It mainly uses them to excavate food, but it won’t hesitate to use them to defend itself. - Tasmanian devils are nocturnal animals which means that they only hunt at night. They have a perfect sense of smell and very good coordination, so it’s very difficult to see them. - We see more and more human deaths caused by elephant attacks. It looks like a planned revenge. Now they are responsible for about 500 human deaths per year. - You have probably heard about the famous Japanese mean called Fugu. This kind of dinner may be your last if the chef makes even the slightest mistake while removing the liver. - There are a few types of poison frogs, and the level of toxicity varies. They can be yellow, copper green, red, blue and black, but the most dangerous kind is golden. It can easily kill ten adults if they touch it. - Dolphins definitely have high intelligence, which, unfortunately sometimes results in harm. They don’t kill humans often, but we recommend thinking twice before approaching dolphins especially in the wild. - Slow Loris is the only venomous primate in the world! If this cutie bites you, you should know that it wasn’t an accident. - If you are really fond of cute animals, but they turn out to be outrageously dangerous, you can get toy versions of them. Such cute things will make your day better. Donald Trump's Sons Hunt Animals & Yulin Dog Meat Festival - Satanic Animal Abuse EXPOSED!

10:28
We live in an age where Animal Hoarding appears on nightly News Programs, & tales of horrific Animal Abuse are unfortunately becoming all too common. Some of us begin to wonder if the Holy Bible speaks about the treatment of our fellow Animals, our fellow neighbors on Planet Earth. Did you know the Bible speaks of the type of person that commits Violence against an Animal as being Wicked? Abuse of anything that God, & our Lord Jesus Christ made is not the Character of God, but rather of an Evil one. In the Bible, Animal Abuse is said to be Condemned, and there are plenty of Bible Verses to prove so. Brothers & Sisters, in this Video I will dive into 2 specific News Articles that went under the radar in the Mainstream Media. These articles need to be Exposed for what they really are! In the first article, Donald Trump's two Eldest Boys were caught Hunting over a Dozen, Rare, & Endangered Animal Species. Including; Cheetahs, Alligators, Crocodiles, Elephants, Ox , and many more! Somehow this Gruesome story slipped through the cracks, while Cecil the Lion's story blew up in the Mainstream Media Headlines, WorldWide. The second article is also yet another Grotesque tale of the Exploitation of Animal Suffering. China is the only country in the whole world to Annually host a Meat Festival in Yulin Province. The regular Meat & Dairy industry is already bad enough, but this Yulin Meat Festival has crossed the last line! It is promoting the excruciating Pain and Torture Domesticated Animals such as Dogs and Cats have to go through to be prepared for a Meal!!! I am already Vegan, & seeing the systematic Torture of countless Animals is getting worse & worse, with the upcoming End Times! When is the Human Race going to take a stand & say, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH? 10 Kids Who Were Raised By Wild Animals

12:54
10 Real Kids Who Were Raised In The AMAZON JUNGLE Subscribe to our channel: ► http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Richest ◄ Have you ever been to a restaurant or just out in public and you get disrupted by loud and hyper kids? Yup, children can get pretty wild and make quite a scene. However, what about when children get really wild? We mean this in the literal sense and have 10 examples of children who were raised in the wild by animals. We’ll start you off with Natasha, a girl who was actually raised by feral cats and dogs after her parents neglected her. Then there’s Bello, a character who is seemingly straight from a Disney movie thanks to the fact he was raised by chimps. We’ll travel to India to tell you about a boy who was actually living with wolves. Not too far from there, lives a woman in Cambodia who appeared from the jungle one day after living a feral life for several years. If you like cats then be sure to stick around for the story of the little boy who was actually raised by a pack of feral street cats. No discussion of kids raised by wild animals would be complete without mentioning Marina Chapman. Allegedly kidnapped, her strange story involves monkeys in the jungle and a happy ending. In Siberia, a boy named Andrei was abandoned by his parents. Incredibly, he survived the harsh environment thanks to man’s best friend. In the Andes Mountains in South America, we’ll tell you about a boy known only as Daniel who survived thanks to wild goats. Speaking of mountains, there’s also the incredible story of Marcos who basically lived with wolves and, from what we can gather, experienced a Disney-like story over several years.
