How to Make an Attractive City

We've grown good at making many things in the modern world - but strangely the art of making attractive cities has been lost. Here are some key principles for how to make attractive cities once again. If you like our films, take a look at our shop (we ship worldwide): https://goo.gl/fwFNPV FURTHER READING “Cities are a big deal. We pretty much all have to live in them. We should try hard to get them right. So few cities are nice, very few out of many thousands are really beautiful; embarrassingly the more appealing ones tend to be old, which is weird because we’re mostly much better at making things now...” You can read more on this and other topics on our blog TheBookofLife.org at this link: https://goo.gl/6wYBGc MORE SCHOOL OF LIFE Our website has classes, articles and products to help you think and grow: https://goo.gl/RWcyzt Watch more films on CAPITALISM in our playlist: http://bit.ly/TSOLcapitalism Do you speak a different language to English? Designing, writing, programming, teaching English, or working in the hospitality industry is an ideal way to make a living abroad. Many are even choosing to retire in these faraway lands because the cost of living is more affordable than living in the United States. With the American dollar strong compared to other currencies, moving or retiring abroad could be a smart strategy to stretch your retirement savings further. If you're looking for a super-thrifty place to live with dirt-cheap housing, low-cost groceries and wallet-friendly utility bills, look no further than Numbeo's Cost of Living Index, which rates the affordability of each country according to the people who live there. Here are the 10 cheapest countries to live in the world for 2018. 1. South Africa. 2. India. (Note: India is home to 1.25 billion residents, not 25 billion. I'm sorry about my mistake.) 3. Slovakia. 4. Romania. 5. Saudi Arabia. 6. Bosnia-Herzegovina. 7. Nepal. 8. Paraguay. 9. Bulgaria. 10. Kazakhstan. Thanks for watching this video. I hope it's useful for you. We dont truly understand why they choose to live like they were born in the past. We also dont get how hard it must be for those who grew up in that kind of environment to leave. Leaving means that they’re shunned by their family and everyone theyve ever known within their community. But some people do it anyway because they hope that life is better on the outside. Curious to know more? Check out our video about 10 Amazing Stories Of People Who Left The Amish Community. Timothy Sauder dreamed about having a career in science when he was a little boy. Unfortunately for him, his Amish community did not believe in higher education. After meeting highly educated intellectuals on a bike trip in Colorado, Timothys heart was set on leaving the Amish world behind. He was even able to get into university without having a high school diploma. But youll have to watch the video to find out if hell ever return to his Amish way of living. Moses Gingerich may have been a reality TV star on "Amish in the City," but he chose to leave his Amish community soon after the show aired. He remembers how he wanted to be a country singer when he was younger, and he used to secretly sing along to his battery-operated radio. But youll never guess what this nice ex-Amish man does today. From Ruth Irene Garrett to Levi Shetler, there are many amazing people who left their strict Amish communities behind. Why Socrates Hated Democracy

Abkhazia or Georgia? The effects of war: Tskaltubo, the city of refugees

Abkhazia or Georgia? The effects of war: Tskaltubo, the city of refugees. In 1992, war broke out in Abkhazia. Ethnic cleansing against the Georgian people followed. Thousands were moved to Tskaltubo, a city humming with refugee stories. Ethnic Georgians in Abkhazia fought largely on the side of Georgian government forces, whereas the area’s ethnic Armenians and Russians mostly fought for the Abkhazians. Separatists were supported by thousands of North Caucasus and Cossack militants and Russian Federation forces stationed nearby. Significant human rights violations were reported on all sides, peaking with the Abkhaz capture of Sukhumi on September 27, 1993 and the large-scale ethnic cleansing against the ethnic Georgian population that followed. Women were raped, some more than a hundred times. Their sons and husbands were beaten and tortured in front of them. Russians and separatists played football with the heads of Georgians. 13,000-20,000 ethnic Georgians and some 3,000 Abkhaz were reported killed, over 250,000 Georgians became refugees, and 2,000 are missing. We are in Tskaltubo, Georgia. Tskaltubo is a former resort, built by Stalin due to its thermal waters. It was very popular in the Communist period. It was abandoned after the collapse of the Soviet Union. During the war, some 25,000 refugees were moved to Tskaltubo and housed in empty hotels. Most lived here until 1992. Tskaltubo became a city of refugees. We are at Hotel Samgurali, one of the most run-down and problematic housing locations. We’ll go inside and try to talk to some of the refugees who have lived here for 22 years. I am Ludmila Chikovani from Gagra in the Abkhazia region. I have been a refugee since 1992 because of the war in Abkhazia and now I live here in Tskaltubo. My family – my husband and two sons – fought in the war in that period. During the war, my husband died. My son took his dead body from Abkhazia to here. I live here in very poor conditions. I’m alone here. The government gives me 45 Lari in refugee support each month. But it’s not enough. Also every month as compensation I get 500 Lari. This is my house – welcome. This is an everyday room, for the TV. It’s where I spend most of the day. This is my kitchen. The toilet and bathroom is in that corner. This is my bedroom. This is an old building and the water is damaging it. We have asked several times for it to be repaired but we don’t receive any response. Hello, I am Yadon Nijeradze. I can’t speak a lot… I am from a village near Gudauta. Because of the war, I left my home and moved here, where I live in poor conditions. It makes me a little bit nervous to talk about my hometown. Life is really hard for me. I am Lili Urashvili. I am from the Tsageri district, and I married in Gagra in the Abkhazia region. I moved here because of the war. I can’t remember what year it was, but I’ve been here for 22 years. I have four children, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. So the family is very big. I am 85 years old. My life is just problems, problems and it’s poor. My name is Waja Tapataze. I was born in 1946. I was displaced from Abkhazia in 1993 after the war. It was September. Read more in "Abkhazia or Georgia? Why My Family's Cost of Living is Cheaper in Tokyo

7 days left to back the documentary! https://igg.me/at/lwif-being-japanese-documentary/x Here's the thing. I moved from Vancouver, Canada, to Tokyo, Japan. In Canada, I used to make more money, yet my quality of life is somehow better across the Pacific ocean. This is largely in part due to the cost of living being cheaper for my family. Why Some Countries Are Poor and Others Rich

08:48
The reason why some countries are rich and others poor depends on many things, including the quality of their institutions, the culture they have, the natural resources they find and what latitude they're on. Single Mom Lives In Forgotten House For Free And 9 Yrs Later City Has No Clue She’s Still Inside

07:12
Rental prices can have a huge part to play when people begin searching for a new home. However, this wasn’t the case for Lisa Hardy when she moved into her house in 2005. That’s because, incredibly, she and her family lived rent free in a forgotten property for the next nine years. A resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, Hardy is a single mother of three who in 2014 was living in a house with three bedrooms on Eastern Avenue. Unlike other homeowners, though, she didn’t have anything to show that the house was hers – not even a rental contract. In fact, the house seemingly didn’t belong to anyone, with property taxes also going unpaid. So after moving into the house in 2005, Hardy didn’t pay any kind of rent for close to a decade. Yet while the uncertainty of the property’s ownership continued to hang over her head during that time, the single mom wasn’t much perturbed. Indeed, she went about her daily life as normal, buying utilities and a security system for the house as well as looking after the front yard. How to Make a Country Rich

Rather than ask this of any specific country, let’s imagine designing a country from scratch. How could you make it as rich as possible? Suppose the brief was to design ‘Richland’: an ideal wealth-creating society. What would be the chief characteristics you’d need to build into this society? A Secret New York Island That You Can Never Visit

09:05
NYC has about 40 islands. And among those, there’s one that’s so confidential that you can't even visit it! Mystery worth solving, don't you think? We’re about to take a trip to the hush-hush New York island known as U Thant. You’ll definitely be surprised by its interesting history... TIMESTAMPS: The history of U Thant Island 1:06 What U Thant Island is now 3:33 Another closed-off island in New York that's oozing with mystery 4:02 Snake Island in Brasil 5:20 Heard Island in the middle of the ocean between Australia and Antarctica 6:23 Surtsey Island in Iceland 7:14 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - U Thant Island is a teeny-tiny 100-by-200-foot artificial island located off the coast of Manhattan. Its history goes way back to the 1890s. The island remained undisturbed and out of the spotlight until 1977 when it was adopted by the Peace Meditation at the United Nations. - It’s now turned into a protected sanctuary for migrating birds, including a small colony of beautiful double-crested cormorants. - North Brother Island is currently designated as a bird sanctuary, but its history is a lot darker. The island was abandoned up until 1885 when it became the new location for Riverside Hospital. Riverside was at first an isolated hospital for smallpox patients but over time expanded and started accepting sufferers of other types of highly contagious and deadly diseases, like tuberculosis and typhoid fever. - If we venture out across the globe, we’ll find even more places that are, for one reason or another, off-limits for visitors. One prime example is Snake Island, which is located about 90 miles off the coast of Sao Paulo. As to why this place is forbidden for travel, the name says it all! Snake Island houses from 2,000 to 4,000 venomous snakes. - There are other even more mysterious places out there, like Heard Island. You can find it in the middle of the ocean between Australia and Antarctica. Heard Island is home to animals that are totally unique to this area, and the Australian government wants them to live in peace without human intervention. - Surtsey Island was formed from a huge volcanic eruption that took place back in 1963. The eruption lasted for 4 whole years, allowing the island to grow to a size of one square mile. Since then, it’s continued to be a place of interest for volcanologists, botanists, and biologists alike. Transforming cities with technology | The Economist

18:59
Cities are growing faster than at any time in history, straining services and infrastructure. Technology-driven advances are at the forefront of solving this age-old problem Click here to subscribe to The Economist on YouTube: http://econ.trib.al/rWl91R7 By 2050, two thirds of the world’s population will live in cities. Urbanisation is happening faster than at any time in human history. Globally, 900 million people are living in slums. Cities can’t add housing fast enough. Today, an estimated one billion vehicles are already bringing urban areas to a standstill. Cities consume three-quarters of the world’s energy each year and are responsible for around 50% of greenhouse gas emissions. These are challenges our cities have been facing for decades. But now some city leaders, businesses, and even citizens, are taking new approaches to tackling these old problems. They’re transforming their cities with technology. In Seoul, the use of data is seen as the key to tackling some of the big challenges of city life - like moving its people around. City workers here use sophisticated technology to understand and transform how the city - and its metro - can be run. The subway system transports 7 million people every day. It’s widely regarded as one of the best in the world. And the entire network from wheels to workers is driven by data. The speed and frequency of the trains can be constantly adjusted to keep everything running smoothly. “Smart” cameras measure how many passengers are boarding - and how quickly and sensors on the trains and tracks monitor every last component to provide early warnings when maintenance is required and prevent a costly breakdown. They use smartphone apps, social media and the web to give citizens real-time alerts and alternative routes - and keep this megacity running smoothly. Transport is just the start. Seoul’s city planners are using data to better understand more of the big challenges this fast-growing city faces, from air pollution to affordable housing. There are an estimated 30,000 start-ups in South Korea - many of which are offering innovative solutions to challenges like the city’s housing shortages. One company uses this open-source data to pair up young people looking for accommodation with older citizens who have rooms to spare. It’s a tiny offshoot of an industry that is growing rapidly in cities across the world. By 2020, this so-called “smart city” industry will be worth an estimated $1.5 trillion dollars. There’ll be investment in everything from networks and sensors to new apps and services, from the world’s biggest technology firms, to innovative new startups working from someone’s front room. This is the headquarters of FLARE, a start-up based in Kenya. Its young entrepreneurs are working with real-time data sourced from that most ubiquitous of modern innovations: the smartphone. Kenya’s capital, Nairobi is emerging as a vibrant tech hub. It is also one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Home to 4.2 million people, it’s more than doubled its population in the last 20 years. As in many cities in developing countries the ageing, inadequate infrastructure is struggling to cope. The problem isn't a shortage of ambulances - Nairobi has 150 of them - double the number needed in an average city. But the city has no centralized emergency service to coordinate them. Residents here are faced with 50 different numbers to call for help - and no guarantee when - or whether - their ambulance will arrive. The app aims to do the job of a centralized emergency service, compiling real-time data to coordinate and connect patients in need, available ambulances and the right hospitals or healthcare providers. Across the developing world, innovators are increasingly exploiting existing technology to help citizens cope with their cities’ overstretched infrastructure. In America, innovators are also looking ahead to the next wave - anticipating data-driven technologies that could help predict problems before they even happen. Boston, Massachusetts, is the 10th largest metropolitan area in America. It’s home to 4.8 million residents. And while Boston may be one of the oldest urban settlements in this country it’s fast developing world leading technology that could help shape the cities of the future. This is the mission of MIT’s Senseable City Lab - to anticipate the impact of technology on urban life and use it to transform the way cities are run. When This Woman Appeared On Television, An Observant Viewer Realized Her Life Was At Risk

06:24
Nicole McGuinness appeared on a TV show to find her dream home. However, little did she know that her brush with fame would actually have huge consequences on her life. Why? Well, as he watched, one eagle-eyed viewer noticed something unusual about the woman on his TV set – something that could in fact have dire consequences for McGuinness. McGuinness lives in Morehead City, North Carolina. And, in 2015, she was busy living her life when fate dealt her a terrifying blow. In that year, doctors diagnosed her with grade four glioblastoma – a particularly nasty form of brain cancer. The news likely came as a terrible shock to McGuinness, who was only in her late 20s at the time. And to make matters worse, given the aggressive nature of the glioblastoma, the young woman’s doctors told her that the disease would probably cut her life short. This Is What Life Is Like Inside Assad's Syria | VICE on HBO

23:43
Six years of civil war has left most of Syria, a country once known for its ancient cities, in ruins. On the battlefield, Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad’s forces continue to fight a loose, and increasingly diminished collection of anti-government rebels. While in the country’s east, coalition forces have crippled a once fearsome ISIS, driving the group from its strongholds. War continues to rattle much of the country, and peace remains a notion far off in the distance, but one thing has come into focus with each passing day: Assad isn’t going anywhere. To see what life is like under Assad’s rule, VICE New sent Isobel Yeung to Syria just as the final bombs were falling over Aleppo. How American TV Shows Look in Other Countries

14:07
Do you like TV shows? The U.S. is kinda ahead of the game when it comes to cinema and television. It always starts with the first pilot episode, and then you find yourself binge-watching 3 seasons in just a weekend! So it’s no wonder other countries want their audiences to enjoy some of the best TV series ever, but still adapt the plot and characters to their own culture. Are you ready to find out how your favorite shows look in other countries? Then watch our new video! Breaking Bad, Big Bang Theory, Sex and the City. Bright Side gathered a collection of 20 American TV shows that have been replicated with foreign versions and some of them are hilarious! TIMESTAMPS: Prison Break (Pobeg in Russia) 0:58 Breaking Bad (Metastasis in Colombia) 1:42 Gossip Girl in Thailand 2:19 Power Rangers (Super Sentai in Japan) 3:00 Big Bang Theory (Theorists in Belarus) 3:35 How I Met Your Mother in Russia 4:14 Ugly Betty (Ugly Maria in Greece) 4:48 Criminal Minds in South Korea 5:31 The IT Crowd in the UK 6:20 Coupling in the UK 6:50 Suits in South Korea 7:20 Orphan Black in Japan 7:57 Glee (My Youth High Eight Degrees in China) 8:32 Baby Daddy in Russia 9:11 Life on Mars in the UK 9:43 House M.D. (Team Medical Dragon in Japan) 10:22 Sex and the City (Simply Sapney in India) 11:03 Friends (Love Is So Close in Iran) 11:31 The Simpsons (The Samsonadzes in Georgia) 12:18 Modern Family (Moderna Oikogenia in Greece) 12:50 #tvshows #tvseries #toptvshows Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Preview photo credit: PRISON BREAK, Wentworth Miller, 'Cell Test', (Season 1), 2005: By 20th Century Fox Film Corporation/East News, https://www.eastnews.ru/pictures/picture/id/1055529/i/38/t/38 POBEG, Yuriy Chursin, 2010: By Red Square Studio/Kinopoisk, https://www.red-red.ru/projects/series/pobeg, https://www.kinopoisk.ru/picture/1351895/ Animation is created by Bright Side. SUMMARY: - In 2010, a Russian production company called “Red Square Studio” made their own version of Prison Break, and, surprise surprise, it was a huge success! The series, called Pobeg, had not only its own version of the original characters, but also a whole new storyline that better suits Russian reality. - Colombian producers and directors took note, and Sony Television in Latin America made the Colombian version of the famous Emmy-winning TV series, calling it Metastasis. - Any kid of the ‘90s remembers watching Power Rangers every Saturday morning. Ah, good times… Japanese kids experience the same level of excitement too with their version of Power Rangers called Super Sentai! - Big Bang Theory is one of the most successful sitcoms on American television. However, the exact duplicate version of it, called The Theorists in Belarus, was canceled after just the first season! - How I Met Your Mother is another American show that was re-made in Russia. But unlike Pobeg, here the creators tried to stick to the original version as much as they could. The actors even look almost identical! - In July 2017, the rather dark but still captivating TV show Criminal Minds was re-made in South Korea. And even though some fans of the show were skeptical about the idea, the Korean production and actors did not disappoint! - The U.S. adaptation and the U.K. original are quite similar, but nothing beats the first! The U.K. version is a bit more successful thanks to that classic British humor. Still, both versions are certainly worth a try! - Baby Daddy is an American sitcom about a 20-year-old guy who becomes a dad after a one night stand. The show first aired back in 2012 and has been going on for 6 years straight! Russia, once again, took note and made its own 20-episode version of it. - Come on, who hasn’t seen House? It’s a classic! As it turns out, there's another version of it that aired in Japan. These two shows aren't exactly identical, though, they just share a similar premise. - With the huge success of Sex and the City, it’d be a real bummer if there wasn’t a Bollywood version of the show, don't you think? And that’s where India’s 2007 Simply Sapney comes in! - If you miss Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross, take a closer look at the Iranian adaptation called Love Is So Close! It's an exact replica of the American original with the same apartment, furniture, story, music, and cast. But don't assume that there aren’t any surprises in store for you! Did They Find a Living Megalodon In the Mariana Trench?

08:34
Сould Megalodon sharks still be alive in the deepest parts of the ocean? Science tells us that Megalodon sharks are extinct. Given that it was a massive shark with noticeable feeding habits, we guess that if Megalodon sharks were still roaming the oceans, they would probably have been spotted by someone by now. But perhaps not if they lived in the deepest place on Earth: the Mariana Trench. TIMESTAMPS: What the name Megalodon means 1:49 Megalodon’s size 3:26 The deepest spot on Earth 4:13 Could Megalodon live in the Mariana Trench 5:00 How many people reached Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench 6:39 #megalodon #marianatrench #meg Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - The Megalodon shark roamed the oceans as early as 23 million years ago, and we have their fossils to prove their existence. When people first encountered Megalodon teeth, they believed them to be rocks that had made their way to Earth from the moon. - Megalodon was the biggest shark to terrorize the ocean, and it is thought to have gone extinct 2.6 million years ago. The name Megalodon means “big tooth.” Most of the recovered Megalodon fossil teeth have been 4” to 5”. But there are a few enormous teeth that are over 7”. - The Mariana Trench is 6.83 miles deep and measures more than 1,500 miles long and 43 miles wide. To put the depth into perspective, if you were to put Mount Everest into the Mariana Trench, the top would still be sticking out. To put the length into perspective, in 1,500 miles you could fit all the states between Florida and Massachusetts. 1,500 miles is also the distance between Madrid, in Spain, and Copenhagen, in Denmark. - To survive in the Mariana Trench, Megalodon would have had to adapt to the living conditions and evolve. It would also have to switch its diet from whales, dolphins, sea lions, and sea cows to whatever organisms reside in the Mariana Trench and hope that it could find and eat its usual 2,500 lb of food per day. - According to the United Nations, there are 7.6 billion people in the world today, and only 3 of them have made it to the deepest point on Earth. The reality is that with so little research, it is impossible to know what lies in the depths of the Mariana Trench. 12 Amazing Space Facts Proving Life on Earth is Boring

10:11
Do you know that on Mars the normally pinkish-red sky turns blue as the sun goes down under the horizon? It’s because Mars is much farther away from the sun than Earth, making the sunlight less intense. The fine dust in the Martian atmosphere absorbs the blue light and gets rid of the warmer colors that you typically see on Earth. Outer space is amazing by its sheer size, the trillions of massive objects it accommodates, and the many secrets it holds, some of which you’re about to find out. Watch our video to discover the story behind Earth’s moon, how a single teaspoon can weigh a billion tons, and how our galaxy is heading on a deadly collision, along with other incredible facts! TIMESTAMPS: Blue sunset on Mars 1:05 The full exploration of the planets 1:41 Giant water reservoir 2:20 The sound in space 2:55 The hottest planet 3:36 Space trash 4:18 Countless amounts of stars 4:59 The moon was a piece of Earth 5:46 Cosmic lighthouses 6:33 The biggest volcano 7:24 The Milky Way and Andromeda collision 8:04 The densest objects in space 8:45 #spacefacts #sunsetonmars #soundinspace Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - All the planets in our solar system have now been explored, even the dwarf planets of Pluto and Ceres. Most of the exploration was done by NASA’s Voyager program, which began in 1977. - In 2011, astronomers discovered an enormous water reservoir simply floating in space around a supermassive black hole called a quasar. - In between the emptiness, there are clouds of gas and other stray particles. So depending on where you are, soundwaves can be possible. - Discovered in 2017, KELT-9b is the hottest planet we know of. Next time you’re complaining about the heat on a scorching summer day, just remember that temperatures on this planet can reach 7,800 ºF! - There is a thing called space junk, which is any human-made object that’s been left in space and now serves no purpose. - Our galaxy, the Milky Way, has about 100 billion stars. But other estimates put it at over 200 billion, since calculating the exact amount is an almost impossible task even for astronomers. - There are several theories as to how the moon came into existence, but the prevailing one is the Fission theory. It proposes that the moon was formed when an object collided with Earth, sending particles flying about. - Among the most spectacular-looking space objects are pulsars. Pulsars are a type of neutron star. They shoot out some of their material almost at the speed of light. - Mars houses the biggest volcano in the solar system. One of these volcanoes is Olympus Mons. - The Milky Way is headed for a massive collision with the Andromeda galaxy. Four billion years from now, these galaxies will meet and neither will survive. - Neutron stars are the size of a small city, yet their mass is about 1.4 times that of the sun. They’re formed when massive stars die, and their cores collapse in on themselves. 12 Strange US Geography Facts No One Told You About

10:19
The US enjoys some very impressive statistics. 50 states. 325.7 million people. 14,146 McDonald's restaurants. Oh, yes, and some truly wacky geography facts! Get ready because some of these geographic anomalies can be mind-boggling. Do you know, for example, which state has the longest coastline? Top contenders could be Texas, Florida, and California. But it’s Alaska! The Alaskan coastline covers 6,640 miles and is actually longer than the coastline for the rest of the states combined! So if you love the cold sea and frozen beaches, Alaska is the place to be! Watch the video to learn which site to visit if you want to be in 4 places at once, how Americans can be trapped in Canada, and how everyone on Earth could fit into the state of Texas. TIMESTAMPS: Buildings in New York have their own ZIP codes 1:03 Alaska is everywhere 1:39 You can walk from the US to Russia 2:24 Canada in California 3:22 The longest river in the US 3:55 The shortest river in the world 4:47 The longest coastline 5:23 The tallest mountain in the world 5:56 Point Roberts — America or Canada? 6:49 Four Corners — 4 states 7:41 Border states 8:26 Texas is bigger than you can imagine 9:16 #geographyfacts #factsaboutamerica#usafacts Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Manhattan is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. It is so unbelievably crowded that there are over 200 ZIP codes in Manhattan alone! And there are over 40 buildings that are large enough to have their own ZIP codes. - Alaska is pretty close to Russia. The state stretches so far west that it reaches into the eastern hemisphere. So if you want to experience the northern, western, and eastern hemispheres, simply head to Alaska! - During the winter, the small area between Alaska and Russia freezes over. In the middle of the Bering Strait are 2 islands: Big Diomede is part of Russian territory, and Little Diomede is part of Alaskan territory. - The population of Canada is 36.7 million, but California still houses more people than the entire country of Canada. - The Mississippi River spans 2,348 miles. That’s like the distance from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Boston, Massachusetts. - The US can boast about housing the fourth largest river in the world, but it also houses the smallest. The Roe River is located in Montana, and it’s just 201 ft long. - Technically, the tallest mountain is part of the United States. Mauna Kea in Hawaii is an enormous mountain that’s about 33,500 ft tall. - How can you be in 4 places at once? Just head over to Four Corners, a rare area in America where 4 states meet. Southeast Utah, Northeast Arizona, Southwest Colorado, and Northwest New Mexico intersect in a right angle. - 2 states in the US don’t share borders with any other US states. Do you know which ones? If you thought of Hawaii and Alaska, you’re right! - In New York City, the city stretches upward to make room for the 8.6 million inhabitants. If the world’s population lived in such a condensed manner, they would only cover 250,404 square miles. David Wilcock | Corey Goode: The Antarctic Atlantis [MUST SEE LIVE DISCLOSURE!]

02:30:07
Are we about to hear that ancient ruins have been found in Antarctica? Is there an Alliance working to defeat the greatest threat humanity has ever faced on earth? Could the Antarctic Atlantis be part of a full or partial disclosure? Join David Wilcock on a thrill ride of discovery, beginning with Part One where he presents data on the Secret Space Program and shares the stage with legendary insider Corey Goode. This is the best public summary David and Corey have done of this amazing story that has captivated the UFO community. Part Two begins at the 53-minute mark, with David connecting the dots between intel from multiple insiders to arrive at a stunning conclusion -- that we are on the verge of major new releases of information that will transform everything we thought we knew about life on earth. A civilization of "Pre-Adamite" giants with elongated skulls appears to have crash-landed on a continent we now call Antarctica some 55,000 years ago. Various groups we collectively call the Alliance are working to defeat the Cabal / Illuminati / New World Order, thus making the headlines crazier by the day. If the Alliance succeeds, their plan is now to begin the disclosure process by telling us there was a civilization in Antarctica. We are already seeing multiple, compelling hints of this in corporate media. Find out what the insiders are telling us and help spread the word! This is a two-and-a-half-hour excerpt from David's Friday and Saturday presentations at the Conscious Life Expo 2017. In their original form they run six hours. David also spoke for three hours on Monday, presenting an incredible new model of the Cosmos based on sacred geometry -- and proving that the Sun is going to release a DNA-transforming burst of energy in our near future. Recent findings reveal the truth that has been buried for over one hundred years. Scientists have debunked the theory that the cause of the Titanic sinking was an iceberg. Why did Titanic sink? What's the real cause of the Titanic crash? HOW TITANIC SANK On April 14th, 1912 at 11:40 p.m. RMS Titanic had a terrible accident that led to its ultimate demise 3 hours later. The Titanic took more than 1,500 lives with it as it sank to its watery grave. TITANIC MYSTERY The cause of this horrible disaster leading to so many deaths was an iceberg the ship crashed into. Or so we’ve always been told... But scientists’ most recent findings have debunked this theory. In this video, we’ll tell you the whole truth that has been buried for over one hundred years. TIMESTAMPS How Titanic sank 0:08 How Titanic was made 1:00 The real cause of the catastrophe 3:04 The interior of the Titanic 5:10 Another tragic coincidence 6:20 Another criminal negligence: the lifeboats 7:23 Some people also blame Captain Smith 8:25 HOW TITANIC WAS MADE The Titanic had 4 massive smokestacks. Each of them weighed 60 tons, and they extended 81.5 feet above the deck. Such an impressive height was necessary to avoid covering the passengers in 100 tons of soot blown off daily. The smokestacks were placed at a 30° angle to look even more astonishing and imposing. No less awe-inspiring was the cost of the ship. Its construction demanded $7,500,000. If we take into account modern exchange rates and inflation, in 2016 they would be paying $166,000,000. Surprisingly, it would turn out cheaper than the production of the world-famous movie Titanic in 1997, which cost $200,000,000! Criminal negligence, tragic and unfortunate chain of coincidences, fire or ice: whatever it was, it took the lives of hundreds of people and still keeps the minds of scientists busy to this day. If You Ever See This Tree, Run Fast And Yell For Help!

10:20
Which trees are dangerous to humans? There are over 3 trillion trees on our planet that clean our air, help prevent water pollution and soil erosion, and provide us with oxygen and shade on a hot day. Some plants and trees, however, aren’t exactly that good since they’re super dangerous and can seriously hurt you or even kill. If you ever see any of them, don’t touch them and ask for help to remove them. When the fruit of the sandbox tree matures, it becomes dark brown and explodes, shooting seeds a whopping 150 miles per hour in all directions. You can imagine what a serious injury that could cause if you get in the way of these organic bullets. If a child or dog eats just one or two of cherry trees’ leaves, they’ll suffer from a horrible stomachache. And if they eat more than that, they’ll most likely end up with cyanide poisoning. If children or dogs eat or chew on Buckeyes, they’ll most likely suffer from vomiting and diarrhea. Pets may have troubles breathing or start to stagger and shake. If you have an Ohio buckeye tree near your house, your best and safest bet is to pick up all the nuts and twigs and keep them out of your kids' and pets' reach. You’re unlikely to swallow two hundred seeds or munch on twenty apple cores, which is the fatal dosage for people. But if pets and other animals eat too many apples, it can easily kill them. Some of the cerbera odollam’s components are used to make deodorants and pesticides, but in its pure form, the cerbera odollam can be deadly. Manchineel tree is covered in poisonous sap, and if it comes in contact with your skin, it can cause blindness. Do not burn manchineel wood even if you have nothing else at hand to start a fire. The smoke from this fire will definitely lead to eye inflammation and even temporary blindness. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS The sandbox tree 1:06 The cherry tree and its relatives 2:07 The Ohio buckeye 3:16 The apple and crabapple tree 4:15 The cerbera odollam 5:12 The manchineel tree 5:57 SUMMARY -If you get the sap of sandbox tree in your eyes, blindness can become a frighteningly real possibility. If you accidentally eat the fruit, your body will have an almost instant reaction with cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea. -The cherry and its relatives release particular chemicals that later metabolize into cyanide, poisoning with which can easily and quickly become fatal. -All parts of the Ohio buckeye tree contain saponins, which are chemicals that depress the central nervous system. -The leaves, stems, and seeds of apple trees contain that very same chemical as in cherry trees that’s metabolized into cyanide during digestion. -The cerbera odollam grows in South Asia and India, where some desperate people are willing to end their lives just by eating the extremely toxic fruit of this tree. -Highly toxic milky sap oozes out of the tree’s leaves, bark, and fruit. It contains all kinds of toxins, but the most lethal is phorbol. Even if you haven't swallowed the fruit but just bitten into it, its juice will lead to painful boils that will cover your throat and the insides of your mouth.
