My $1,000,000 Stock Portfolio: Investing Strategy & Philosophy

27:49
Join Affiliate Marketing Mastery: http://affiliatemarketingmastery.com/training Over the last few years, I’ve been publicly sharing in my Monthly Goals Reports the progress that I’ve made financially in my online businesses, as well as my investing progress to a $1,000,000 stock investment portfolio within my holding company. I’ve had many people ask: “What is your investment strategy and philosophy?” While I’m by no means an “expert” on the topic of investing, I can share what I’ve personally done and what has been working for me. There are many other people that are more qualified and ideal to follow than myself. However, through my transparency, perhaps you can learn from some of my successes and wins, and it can give you a behind-the-scenes look at what a $1,000,000 investment portfolio looks like. Before you watch the video, a few things to note: This isn’t my entire portfolio. This is just within my holding company. I own personal investments as well, that include cash, stocks, bonds and a real estate rental property. When you make a lot of money in your business, you’ll want to create a “holding company” to protect and hold your money, which gives you flexibility when it comes to investing and for tax purposes. I live in Canada and I invest in the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange). The primary currency I trade in is Canadian dollars and primarily investing in the Canadian economy, as I understand it the most. However, I do have investments in U.S. dollars and outside of Canada as well. I’m no “expert” by any means. I’m just someone that has learned through reading books, having mentors, and through my own trial and error. There are still many things in the investment world that I don’t understand. However, if you can benefit or learn from my transparency then that’s great! ★☆★ VIEW THE BLOG POST: ★☆★ http://projectlifemastery.com/my-1000000-stock-portfolio-investing-strategy-philosophy/ ★☆★ SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON YOUTUBE: ★☆★ http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=projectlifemastery ★☆★ FOLLOW ME BELOW: ★☆★ Blog: http://www.projectlifemastery.com Facebook: http://www.projectlifemastery.com/facebook Twitter: http://www.projectlifemastery.com/twitter Instagram: http://projectlifemastery.com/instagram Snapchat: http://projectlifemastery.com/snapchat Podcast: http://www.projectlifemastery.com/itunes ★☆★ MY PRODUCTS & COURSES: ★☆★ Morning Ritual Mastery: http://www.morningritualmastery.com Kindle Money Mastery: http://www.kmoneymastery.com 24 Hour Book: http://www.24hourbook.com Kindle Optimizer: http://www.koptimizer.com ★☆★ WANT TO BE COACHED BY ME? ★☆★ You can apply for my 1-on-1 and group coaching programs here: http://projectlifemastery.com/coaching ★☆★ RECOMMENDED RESOURCES: ★☆★ http://www.projectlifemastery.com/resources

Subscribe for more great videos, or check out: www.SRPL.net ========================== My poor dad always told me to me go to school and get a high-paying job. That’s not creating wealth. That's a job. My rich dad on the other hand always says work for assets. There are basically 4 asset classes that makes a person rich. Number 1 is Business. The richest young guys today start companies. Some great examples of this are Facebook, Google, Apple, etc. Number 2 is real estate. What my rich dad taught me is the combination of being an entrepreneur in business and an entrepreneur in real estate. Now due to this combination, I pay no tax and I make a lot more money. The 3rd asset is Paper. Savings in gold, papers like stocks bonds mutual funds are liquid. You make a mistake, you can get in and out real quick. The last asset is Commodities and this is why I own oil because in the U.S. if you deal in oil, you get tax breaks. So oil is very profitable. ========================== Subscribe for more great videos, or check out: www.SRPL.net

What is PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT? What does PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT mean?

01:59
What is PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT? What does PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT mean? PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT meaning - PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT definition - PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT explanation. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Portfolio investments are investments in the form of a group (portfolio) of assets, including transactions in equity securities, such as common stock, and debt securities, such as banknotes, bonds, and debentures. Portfolio investments are passive investments, as they do not entail active management or control of the issuing company. Rather, the purpose of the investment is solely financial gain, in contrast to foreign direct investment (FDI), which allows an investor to exercise a certain degree of managerial control over a company. For international transactions, equity investments where the owner holds less than 10% of a company's shares are classified as portfolio investments. These transactions are also referred to as "portfolio flows" and are recorded in the financial account of a country's balance of payments. They are categorized in two major parts: foreign institutional investment and investments by non-residents. According to the Institute of International Finance, portfolio flows arise through the transfer of ownership of securities from one country to another. Portfolio investment covers a range of securities, such as stocks and bonds, as well as other types of investment vehicles. A diversified portfolio helps spread the risk of possible loss because of below-expectations performance of one or a few of them.

Bronwyn King, a Melbourne radiation oncologist, was horrified that she and her colleagues at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre were unknowingly supporting tobacco through their superannuation (pension) investments - an action which came at the expense of their patients, whose lives, and those of their family and friends, were ravaged by the effects of lung cancer. So she decided to do something about it. As Founder and CEO of Tobacco Free Portfolios, Browwyn King's collaborative work with finance industry executives has contributed to over 40% of Australian pension funds implementing tobacco free investment mandates, with (as of June 2017) $2.5 billion tobacco stocks now divested. Portfolio investment

01:23
Portfolio investments include transactions in equity securities, such as common stock, and debt securities, such as banknotes, bonds, and debentures. Portfolio investments are passive investments, as they do not entail active management or control of the issuing company. Rather, the purpose of the investment is solely financial gain, in contrast to foreign direct investment, which allows an investor to exercise a certain degree of managerial control over a company. For international transactions, equity investments where the owner holds less than 10% of a company's shares are classified as portfolio investments. These transactions are also referred to as "portfolio flows" and are recorded in the financial account of a country's balance of payments. This video is targeted to blind users. OK, we get it. Investing can be risky. One way to manage that risk is to educate yourself on basic concepts, like asset allocation and diversification. Asset Allocation is simply financial lingo for how you distribute your money across types of investments. It’s like the strategic decision of which baskets to put your eggs in and how many eggs to put into each. The different baskets are called asset classes. To help you decide where to put your eggs, ask yourself three questions: 1. How much time do you have before you need to use your money? 2. How comfortable are you with risk? 3. How does your current financial situation look? Diversification is about strategically putting the right mix of different eggs in each of your baskets. The key is that you shouldn’t invest all your money in one company, one industry, one country, one ANYTHING. Ideally, you want your investments to be negatively correlated, so when one is going down, another is going up. Here are some typical ways smart investors diversify their portfolio: • Invest in companies in different countries • Own stock in small AND large companies • Invest in companies in a variety of industries There are some downsides to diversification. If one of your investments does very well, you won’t make as much as if it was your only investment. But consider the inverse: if you owned only one stock, and the company went out of business, you would lose more money than if you had spread your money across different investments. Diversification won’t eliminate risk. But it's a smart way to manage risk while still giving you a chance to build your portfolio. Passive Income Dividends: Pay Your Bills with Monthly Dividend Cash

09:16
How I created a monthly income stream from passive dividend investing. There is no investing strategy more popular than dividend investing and for good reason. Dividend stocks outperform the rest of the stock market and put cash in your pocket. Dividend investing is safer than other investing strategies and will help you reach your investing goals. The only problem with dividend stocks is that most companies only pay dividends four times a year. That makes it difficult to create a monthly stream of income from just dividends. In this investing tutorial, I show you how to create a source of passive income from just four dividend investments. You'll not only get constant cash flow every month but will benefit from price appreciation for double-digit returns. Stop chasing stocks and worrying about a stock market crash. Learn how to invest in dividend stocks. This dividend investing tutorial will not only explain how dividends work but will show you a dividend investing strategy that includes monthly cash flow and upside returns potential. Dividend Death 😲 Dividend Investing Dangers in 2019

Nothing destroys value like a dividend cut. I'm going to show you three warning signs in dividend investing so you can get out of an investment before the dividend yield is cut. I've also found one popular dividend stock that is flashing red all over. Investing in dividend stocks has beaten the stock market for decades and it's a great way to create cash flow to pay your bills. All those profits can be wiped out in an instant though if the dividend is cut. I've seen dividend yielding stocks fall by more than 50% when the dividend payment was cut. That means you need to watch for the warning signs and get out before rumors start about a cut to the dividend yield. This isn't as difficult as it might sound. I follow three warning signs and it's helped me avoid 90% of the cuts in my dividend portfolio. In fact, watching these three red lights helped me find one hugely popular dividend stock that could be ready to cut at any moment. I guarantee you've heard of this company and probably own shares in your own portfolio. Do not miss your chance to get out of this stock before the bottom drops out. - Why it's so important to watch for cuts in dividend paying stocks - How to use cash flow instead of earnings to see if a company is in trouble - How to read the cash flow and income statement for dividend stocks - The warning signs in dividend stocks that management won't tell you about SUBSCRIBE to create the financial future you deserve with videos on beating debt, making more money and making your money work for you. https://peerfinance101.com/FreeMoneyVideos Don’t invest another dime until you read this free special report - the 10 Lies Wall Street Tells Investors https://mystockmarketbasics.com/stock-market-beginners-guide/ Joseph Hogue, CFA spent nearly a decade as an investment analyst for institutional firms and banks. Asset Management: Industry Overview and Careers in Asset Management

04:45
Asset Management: Industry overview and Careers in Asset Management Asset Management is about managing clients’ investments and providing them with the strategies and expertise that would allow them to achieve their goals and secure their financial future. This video is part of our series dedicated to the different sub-industries in the world of Business & Finance. Our goal is to understand how it functions, what type of services it offers its clients, which are the major players in the field and what it is like to do this for a living. An individual or an institution is likely to approach an asset management firm when their investment income is substantial. In such cases, asset managers are able to offer expertise across a wide spectrum of asset classes (such as stocks, bonds, commodities, real estate, private equity, etc). Moreover, large firms have branches all over the world and are therefore able to offer geographical expertise as well. Given that asset managers closely follow all of these markets, they are able to offer high-quality advice and superior risk-return investments. The large players in the asset management industry are indeed very large. There are several companies whose assets under management exceed $1 trillion. Some of them are pure investment funds (BlackRock, Vanguard, StateStreet, Fidelity), while others are arms of the large banking conglomerates (Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, UBS, BNP). The largest firm in the world in terms of assets under management in 2015 was BlackRock. Key Things to Know about Fixed Income ETFs | Fidelity

Find out more about exchange-traded funds with us at the https://www.fidelity.com/learning-center/investment-products/etf/overview To see more videos from Fidelity Investments, subscribe to: https://www.youtube.com/fidelityinvestments Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fidelityinvestments Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/fidelity Google+: https://plus.google.com/+fidelity LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fidelity-investments ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fixed income can be a critical part of nearly every well-diversified portfolio. Used correctly, fixed income can add diversification and a steady source of income to any investor’s portfolio. But how do you choose the right fixed-income ETF? The key to choosing the right fixed-income ETF lies in what it actually holds. U.S. bonds or international bonds? Government securities or corporate debt? Bonds that come due in two years or 20 years? Each decision determines the level of risk you’re taking and the potential return. There are many types of risks to consider with bond investing. Let’s talk more about two in particular: Credit risk and Interest-rate risk. Determining the level of credit risk you want to assume is an important first step when choosing a fixed-income ETF. Do you want an ETF that only holds conservative bonds—like bonds issued by the U.S. Treasury? Or do you want one holding riskier corporate debt? The latter may pay you a higher interest rate, but if the company issuing the bond goes bankrupt, you’ll lose out. ETFs cover the full range of available credit. Look carefully at the credit quality composition of the ETFs underlying holdings, and don’t be lured in by promises of high yields unless you understand the risks. Bonds are funny. Intuitively, you would assume that higher interest rates are good for bondholders, as they can reinvest bond income at higher prevailing interest rates. But rising interest rates may be bad news, at least in the short term. Imagine that the government issues a 10-year bond paying an interest rate of 2%. But shortly thereafter, the U.S. Federal Reserve hikes interest rates. Now, if the government wants to issue a new 10-year bond, it has to pay 3% a year in interest. No one is going to pay the same amount for the 2% bond as the 3% bond; instead, the price of the 2% bond will have to fall to make its yield as attractive as the new, higher-yielding security. That’s how bonds work, like a seesaw: As yields rise, prices fall and vice versa. Another important measure to consider when looking at interest rate risk is duration which helps to approximate the degree of price sensitivity of a bond to changes in interest rates. The longer the duration, the more any change in interest rates will affect your investment. Conversely, the shorter the duration, the less any change in interest rates will affect your investment. Let’s review a few other considerations when looking at fixed income ETFs. First, expense ratios: Because your expected return in a bond ETF is lower than in most stock ETFs, expenses take on extra importance. Generally speaking, the lower the fees, the better. Second, tracking difference: It can be harder to run a bond index fund than an equity fund, so you may see significant variation between the fund’s performance and the index’s returns. Try to seek out funds with low levels of tracking difference, meaning they track their index well. Finally, some bonds can be illiquid. As a result, it’s extra important to look out for bond ETFs with good trading volumes and tight spreads. There are other factors to watch for too, but these are the basics. ETFs can be a great tool for accessing the bond space, but as with anything, it pays to know what you’re buying before you make the leap. What does an Asset Manager do?

01:46
You want to dive deep into the world of finance and management? Visit us: http://www.frankfurt-school.de/en/home/programmes.html?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=ACQUISITION Asset management is the administration of assets. Depending on the investor’s goals and their willingness to take risks, an asset manager compiles a portfolio. Security papers, that promise a high return are usually rather risky. A skilled asset manager thus should create a portfolio which balances out an appropriate level of risk with suitable returns. This task can be compared to the work a chef does when assembling a multiple course menu for his guests. The chef will purchase the necessary ingredients at a food market – the asset manager procures security papers from the capital market. He needs to consider and incorporate his client’s willingness to take risks – the chef on the other hand needs to cater to his guest’s tastes. Too little salt is just as detrimental as too much of it. While the chef is able to check his dishes by tasting them, the asset manager has to go to greater lengths to verify his portfolio. Possible returns as well as risks refer to the future. Here, complex political, economical or psychological factors have to be taken into account. Assessing these is what makes asset management interesting and challenging in the present, it’s results and quality may only be experienced in the future, though.
Passive Investing: The Evidence the Fund Management Industry Would Prefer You Not to See

53:54
http://sensibleinvesting.tv -- the independent voice of passive investing A remarkable 54-minute film featuring some of the world's top economists and academics and demonstrating: * how the claims of active fund managers to be able to beat the market are largely a myth * how costs are the biggest drag on performance - and why active costs more * how passive investing offers the best experience for the vast majority of investors * the benefits of a diversified portfolio in guaranteeing consistent returns * why passive investing is better for your health * why active investing has held sway for so many years.... * ... but why things may be changing * and why passive is the rational, mathematically proven route to investing success. Investing for the future... It's an issue none of can afford to ignore. No one's job is safe these days... How would you cope if you lost yours? We're all living longer too... So are you saving enough to fund 25 years or more of retirement? Can you really afford to pay for your children or grandchildren to go to university - or help them onto the property ladder? And what about all those holidays you promised yourself? We entrust the vast bulk of our investments to fund managers. Here in the UK, according to Her Majesty's Treasury, the industry has more than four TRILLION pounds of investors' money under management. Fund managers invest people's savings wherever they see fit - mainly in equities, or shares in listed companies. They claim to be experts at making our making grow, using their expert knowledge to pick the shares that will outperform the market. But all too often the returns they produce are considerably lower than the average return of a benchmark index like the FTSE 100 - or the S&P 500 in the States. For veteran investment guru John Bogle, the problem is simple. Fund managers just aren't as smart as they like to think they are. As it means trading against the view of numerous market participants with superior information, buying or selling a security is effectively just a bet. So, whilst your fund manager might lead you to believe it's his knowledge or intelligence that enables you to beat the market, he's really no better than a gambler. So, you might be lucky enough to choose the right fund manager. But you could just as easily pick the wrong one. According to the financial services company Bestinvest, there are currently nearly £10 billion of UK investors' money languishing in what it calls dog funds - in other words, funds which have underperperformed their benchmark index for at least three consecutive years. Ultimately, of course, fund managers are businesses. They exist to make money for themselves. They want our business - even if it means persuading us to invest in a fund which they themselves wouldn't want to put their own money in. It's now time to look at what it actually costs us to invest. Fund managers are, of course, businesses. And, like all business, they have overheads. Running a big fund management company doesn't come cheap - esepcially when top managers earn around £2 million a year, including bonuses. And remember, it's you, the customer, who picks up the tab. Ultimately, though, fund managers need to make a profit. In fact they'e making around £10 billion from us every year - and that's regardless of whether or not they manage to produce a profit for us. Part of the challenge is working out exactly what we are being charged. Investors typically use something called the annual Total Expense Ratio, or TER, to compare the cost of investing in different funds. But, the TER excludes dealing commission, stamp duty and other turnover costs that can add considerably to the expense of investing over time. So, apart from those hidden charges, what else are we having to pay? More importantly, what sort of impact do charges have on the value of our investments? And the bad news doesn't stop there. Despite a marked increase in competition, management charges in the UK have been steadily rising over the last ten years. There are some encouraging signs for consumers. The FSA's Retail Distribution Review will require fund managers to be fairer and more transparent when it comes to charges. In the meantime, investors should be on their guard. Can Mutual Funds Run Away with Our Money ?

08:43
Your money is safe even if mutual fund is bought by another Isn’t it worrying to invest in a mutual fund (MF) scheme only to find out a few months later that your fund house has been acquired by another one? WHERE IS MY MONEY? Indian Trusts Act, 1882. Indian Companies Act, 1956 Are mutual funds safe? Can mutual funds run away with our money Custodian The bank or trust company that maintains a mutual fund's assets, including its portfolio of securities or some record of them. The custodian provides safekeeping of securities but has no role in portfolio management. How is my money protected? Mutual funds have a board of members known as the custodians whose primary job is investor protection. Custodians are responsible for keeping the fund securities safe and account for transactions. They should not be affiliated with the sponsors of the MF company. Custodians are audited periodically and the report must be sent to SEBI. The Registrars and Transfer Agents like CAMS or Karvy form a bridge between investors and the custodians. They handle customer compliance like KYC and process investments and redemptions. They are also periodically audited. CAN MY MONEY BE SWINDLED? The answer is no. The reason why your AMC can’t swindle—or run away—with your money is that the mutual fund is a trust. The trust’s beneficiaries are the investors. So, if a trust has to be dissolved, for whatever reason, the money must be given back to the investors, as per the law. The trustees have the fiduciary responsibility to ensure that the money is properly taken care of by the fund managers. All the major decisions taken by a fund house are supposed to be approved by the trustees. When an acquiring fund house takes over the schemes of another fund house, what it has actually acquired is the ‘trust’, or in other words, the MF schemes. If it decides to wind up any scheme, it will return the money from the scheme to investors at the prevailing price (net asset value). Enhancement of equity portfolio performance using data envelopment analysis

An academic paper read by Sawyer Investment Management Company regarding the use of Data Envelopment Analysis to form equity portfolios with value and momentum attributes. Timestamps: 0:00 - Introduction 0:19 - Section 1. Introduction 2:36 - Section 2. Literature review 4:52 - Section 3.1. Sample description 6:00 - Section 3.2. Portfolio-formation methodology 8:30 - Section 3.3. Test procedures for performance comparisons 11:28 - Section 3.4. Statistical tests and adjustments 12:28 - Section 4.1. The results from the full sample period 19:15 - Section 4.2. Decomposition of portfolio performance based on bull and bear market periods 29:53 - Section 5: Conclusion Abstract: This paper examines the applicability of data envelopment analysis (DEA) as a basis of selection criteria for equity portfolios. It is the first DEA application for constructing a combined equity investment strategy that aims to integrate the benefits of both value investing and momentum investing. The 3-quantile portfolios are composed of a comprehensive sample of Finnish non-financial stocks based on their DEA efficiency scores that are calculated using three variants of DEA models (the constant returns-to-scale, the super-efficiency, and the cross-efficiency models). The performance of portfolios is evaluated on the basis of the average return and several risk-adjusted performance metrics throughout the 1994–2010 sample period. The results show the capability of the DEA approach to add value to equity portfolio selection. The outperformance of the top 3-quantile DEA portfolios in contrast to both the comparable bottom portfolio and the stock market average is statistically significant on the basis of all performance measures employed. The outperformance is slightly more significant when the stock price momentum is included in the DEA variables. The methodology employed offers an interesting alternative for detecting the outperforming stocks of the future by capturing both the price momentum and several dimensions of relative value simultaneously. DEA is particularly useful as a multicriteria methodology in cases in which the number of stocks in the sample is large. It therefore also has useful implications to practical portfolio management. How to Make Your Own Investment Portfolio Fund?

18:34
Making your own portfolio is very easy. First choose your stocks that you want to buy. Most investors use fundamentals of the companies to see their future potential for growth. 2. Buy either by small amount or the whole shares. 3. choose a broker that does not charge inactivity fee. Some brokers charge you if you don't trade stocks that often. 4. your broker shows you the average of your investment return. After one year you can and then decide which stocks to change and which one to hold for more years. For more information you can check my training level 16 how to invest in dividend stocks.
