How to reset Internet Explorer

13:58
If IE is slow to start, slow loading pages, suddenly stops working, etc., indicates there is a problem but not necessarily in the program itself. These problems are usually caused by Toolbars and Add-ons that hijack the browser by making changes to IE. Other problems are due to a plug-in or add-on not being compatible with that version of IE. Learn how to reset IE and troubleshoot to find the root cause of the problem.

Fix IE Issue: "Some settings are managed by your system administrator"

01:30
In this video tutorial, I will show you a possible working method for the Internet Explorer issue. You may notice such a message in the IE settings tab: "Some settings are managed by your system administrator". This may be very annoying and it also locks the ability to change IE settings. So here are the steps to possibly fix this issue: 1. Run the Regedit 2. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main 3. Delete the entire 'Internet Explorer' keys chain and exit the Registry Editor. 4. If needed, reboot your PC or just restart Internet Explorer. 5. Then go back to IE settings tab and check whether this method worked for you. Why did this method work for me? I did previously few changes in the Registry Editor that were related and dedicated to Internet Explorer settings, and as a result, this issue appeared. For sure, for some people this method won't be helpful at all and they probably would need to reset IE settings or if some users do have a Windows Pro version, then they might find a solution for this problem in the Group Policy Editor which I don't have as I use Windows 10 Home edition. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you liked my video. Tuning the internet options in Internet Explorer 8 and below for speed

02:48
Learn how to speed up Internet Explorer by removing junk files and add-ons or disabling them, By increasing the Temporary File Folder size for Internet Explorer 8 and making it not empty your old temp folders during exit your browser does not have to redown a website from the internet. It can just load the website from your local hard drive which is a lot faster then redownloading the website from online. If you view the website or video a lot you can also press "Ctrl+S" or File - Save website . You can use http://keepvid.com to download flash video or the latest version of real player to download from other sites. You can also disable toolbars, and extensions which can use up some system resources to download the current weather, news, and other info which it displays on your toolbar. In Internet Explorer8 options you can also set your browser homepage to nothing, so you do not have to wait for IE to load a website everytime it starts. If IE is still slow then your PC might be infected by spyware, a virus, or your computer needs a better CPU or more RAM. You can also try doing a disk defrag, scan disk, and disk or registry clean up. It might help a little bit. Try switching to Google Chrome or Opera if everything else fails since I notice Opera and Chrome are fast. You can also try out Avant browser which is a modded version of IE. Setting Internet Explorer as default browser = Exploit!

01:02
I wanted to temporarily set IE as the default web browser on my new computer (HP 15) running Windows 8.1, because I was curious about testing the metro version of IE, which only works if it's the default browser. I have Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit installed among some other security tools. I went to the Internet options and tried to set IE as the default browser, but something interesting happened... Yes, I now have a Windows 8 computer, and I've written in a few comments on my other videos such as the "destroying Windows 8" one: https://www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=Zu9mI4LK9hg how much I loathe Windows 8, especially on non touch screen computers, and this new computer doesn't have a touch screen. With the Classic Start Menu mod from Classic Shell (http://www.classicshell.net/), it's much more usable though. Anyway I can't wait to upgrade to Windows 10. I'll start making new videos very soon. I already have some ideas, like this new HP laptop, a screwed up iPhone 4S, various old cell phones, an old Sony Walkman, Discman, and Handycam, and even driving a car with the Hyperlapse app. Stay tuned! This tutorial will show you how to remove toolbars from ie. Step # 1 -- Load Control Panel Close Internet Explorer if you have it open. Then click "Start" and navigate to "Control Panel" which is in the right hand column of the "Start Menu". Step # 2 -- Locate Uninstall a Program "Control Panel" will have numerous options. There is a heading called "Programs" and under this you will see a link called "Uninstall a program", click it. This will load a window with a list of all the installed programs on the computer. Wait for the computer to finish building this list. Step # 3 -- Finding the Relevant Toolbar Make sure you know the name of the toolbar. In this example we are removing, "Your TV Toolbar", locate this in the list, it is called "your-tv-live Toolbar" here. Right click on this and click on the "Uninstall/Change" option that appears. Step # 4 -- Completing the Uninstall You will be prompted to confirm that you want to uninstall the toolbar, click "Yes". The uninstall will run, depending on what you are uninstalling a browser may open, just close this. This completes the uninstall process and that's how to remove toolbars from ie.
