Learn how to make Use Case Diagrams in this tutorial. Both beginners and intermediate UML diagrammers will find all the necessary training and examples on systems, actors, use cases, and include and extend relationships. UML Use Case Diagrams show a system or application; then they show the people, organizations, or other systems that interact with it; and finally, they show a basic flow of what the system or application does. This tutorial explains the four main characteristics of Use Case Diagrams: systems, actors, use cases, and relationships. A system is whatever you’re developing. It could be a website, a software component, a business process, an app, or any number of other things. You represent a system with a rectangle. The next aspect of Use Case Diagrams are actors. An actor is going to be someone or something that uses our system to achieve a goal, and they're represented by a stick figure. Use Cases are elements that really start to describe what the system does. They're depicted with an oval shape and they represent an action that accomplishes some sort of task within the system. The final element in Use Case Diagrams are relationships, which show how actors and use cases interact with each other. There are different types of relationships (like association, include, extend, and generalization) that are represented by varying types of lines and arrows. —— Learn more and sign up: http://www.lucidchart.com Follow us: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lucidchart Twitter: https://twitter.com/lucidchart Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lucidchart LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/lucidsoftware

At Amazon's Kindle Store... http://goo.gl/xobJFo WRITE AN A+ ESSAY: IT'S EASIER THAN YOU MIGHT THINK. I'm going to make a confession. I was a straight-A student in high school. I graduated summa cum laude from college. My senior thesis won the institution’s coveted essay-writing prize. Not thanks to raw brilliance, or dazzling talent. No, I knew how to write essays. You see, great essays aren’t necessarily written by the “best and brightest.” They're written by students who know the rules—from concept to thesis statement, from outline to final draft. Students who know how to get the best possible grade for the least amount of work. I’ll show you how you can, too. A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO CONQUERING YOUR NEXT ESSAY ASSIGNMENT My name is Jenny Sawyer. Over the past five years, I’ve been the girl behind 60second Recap®. I've invested thousands of hours helping teens understand classic literature. I’ve answered countless emails seeking help with essay assignments. I’ve guided individual students, one-on-one, through the process of crafting thesis statements and writing essays, testing and refining the techniques I used when I was in school. Strategies I employed to nail essay after essay. Most people think A+ essays require hours of hard work. Or genius. I’d always had a hunch they’d thought wrong. Now, I'm certain of it: YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A GENIUS TO WRITE AN A+ ESSAY I’ve read mediocre essays from brilliant students. Great essays from ordinary students. What sets those A+ essay-writing students apart? They know how to analyze the assignment to keep themselves on track. I’ll show you how you can, too. YOU DON’T NEED LONG HOURS TO WRITE AN A+ ESSAY The best essays rarely take the most time. In fact, some nearly write themselves. How? With the right kind of preparation: A+ essay-writing students organize their research and cut their workload by as much as half. I’ll show you how you can, too. FORMULAS ARE NEVER THE ANSWER, BUT... A+ essays are never formulaic. But they have a lot in commont. A+ essays start strong with crisp, provocative thesis statements. A+ essays support those thesis statements with well-chosen examples and tightly-reasoned arguments—the hallmarks of persuasive writing. A+ essays finish strong, with conclusions that locked the reader into agreement with the essay’s thesis. A+ essays are written by students working from a simple framework: the five-paragraph essay format. I’ll show you how you can, too. DON’T BE INTIMIDATED: IT’S A HEAD GAME, YOU KNOW Ready to supercharge your essay-writing process? You can when you “think like a prosecutor.” I'll show you how. I’ll also reveal the courtroom “trick” you can use to save yourself time and trouble while you craft a great thesis statement. You'll see how you can use the strategies of a criminal trial to speed you through each step of the essay-writing process, from the organization of your research, to the writing of your thesis statement, to the polish of your final draft. It’s the first time I’ve ever set this strategy to paper. Now it’s all here for you, just a click away. YOUR A+ AWAITS. A 'what if' analysis looks at historical, predicted or budget data and then adjusts this actual data by one or more factors to show a 'what if' value. At it's most simple it may be adding a percentage shift (say +10%) to last years figures to predict the next years. You could look at a composite shift, so say you expect sales to go up by 10% but costs to rise by 15% with margins being shrunk by prices only rising by 5% - when all that is layered on top of your existing data what does the picture look like. When you need to find and extract a column of data from one table and place it in another, use the VLOOKUP function. This function works in any version of Excel in Windows and Mac, and also in Google Sheets. It allows you to find data in one table using some identifier it has in common with another table. The two tables can be on different sheets or even on different workbooks. There is also an HLOOKUP function, which does the same thing, but with data arranged horizontally, across rows. See the companion tutorial on Tuts+ at https://computers.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-extract-data-from-a-spreadsheet-using-vlookup-match-and-index--cms-20641. By Bob Flisser.

Michael Jackson’s 13th and final No. 1 hit in the US during his lifetime was 1995’s “You Are Not Alone,” penned by R&B star R. Kelly. It holds the distinction of being the first song to debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but its lyrics may hide a dark secret. In the premiere of Lifetime’s 'Surviving R. Kelly' documentary on Thursday night, a woman named Lizzette Martinez revealed that Kelly wrote the song about their abusive relationship when she was just a teenager. In addition to her own controversy, many fans feel she’s being set up to Marvel Studios. SHAZAM! - Only in theaters April 5. See it early with Fandango on March 23. Get tickets: http://Fandango.com/Shazamearlyaccess ----- http://ShazamMovie.com https://www.facebook.com/ShazamMovie/ https://twitter.com/ShazamMovie/ https://www.instagram.com/ShazamMovie/ ---- David F. Sandberg (“Annabelle: Creation”) directs New Line Cinema’s “Shazam!,” the origin story that stars Zachary Levi (TV’s “Chuck”) as the titular DC Super Hero, along with Asher Angel (TV’s “Andi Mack”) as Billy Batson, and Mark Strong (the “Kingsman” movies) in the role of Super-Villain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. Peter Safran (“Aquaman,” “The Conjuring” and “Annabelle” films) serves as the film’s producer. We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong). “Shazam!” also stars Jack Dylan Grazer (“IT”) as Billy’s best friend and ultimate superhero enthusiast, Freddy, part of the foster family that includes Mary, played by Grace Fulton (“Annabelle: Creation”); Darla, played by Faithe Herman (TV’s “This is Us”); Eugene, played by Ian Chen (TV’s “Fresh Off the Boat”); and Pedro, played by Jovan Armand (TV’s “Hawaii Five-O”). Cooper Andrews (TV’s “The Walking Dead”) and Marta Milans (TV’s “Killer Women”) play foster parents Victor and Rosa Vasquez, with Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Blood Diamond”) as the Wizard. Firmly set in the DC universe but with his own distinctly fun, family-centric tone, the screenplay is by Henry Gayden, story by Gayden and Darren Lemke. Shazam was created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck. Christopher Godsick, Jeffrey Chernov, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia serve as executive producers. Sandberg’s creative team includes his “Annabelle: Creation” director of photography Maxime Alexandre, production designer Jennifer Spence, editor Michel Aller and costume designer Leah Butler. A New Line Cinema production, “Shazam!” is set for release on April 5, 2019. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Wilson stars as Natalie, alongside Liam Hemsworth as Blake, a handsome client; Adam Devine as her earnest best friend, Josh; and Priyanka Chopra as yoga ambassador Isabella. Strauss-Schulson directs from a screenplay by Erin Cardillo and Dana Fox & Katie Silberman. Todd Garner (“Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “Tag”), Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo (“13 Going on 30,” “What Women Want”) are producing, with Marty Ewing (“IT,” “The Accountant”) and Rebel Wilson executive producing. Collaborating with Strauss-Schulson behind the scenes are director of photography Simon Duggan (“The Great Gatsby,” “Hacksaw Ridge”), production designer Sharon Seymour (“Argo,” “The Town”), editor Andrew Marcus (“Begin Again,” “Sing Street”), and costume designer Leah Katznelson (“How to Be Single,” “Sleeping with Other People”). ZACH DE GREGORIO, CPA www.WolvesAndFinance.com Business Analysis is a growing field that is becoming more and more important. The primary reason for this is that today there is an enormous amount of data. There is so much data that we have trouble understanding it all. So in recent years there has been a growing emphasis on analysis. Business analysis is a set of tools and techniques to evaluate data and improve business systems. This is actually a skill you can develop in your business that can create tremendous value. I want to expand on this definition so you understand how this fits into the context of accounting. You can break accounting into three areas: Process, Reports, Analysis. 1. Process deals with the basic accounting tasks. For example, when you purchase something there is a process to create a Purchase Order and send payment. 2. Reports take the data from your accounting processes and summarizes the data. Your financial statements is a report of all the accounting processes during that period. 3. Analysis is used to interpret and communicate information from reports. Analysis takes your financial statement, determines what it means, and uses that information for strategic decisions. There are a couple of useful things to understand here. Each item builds on the previous item. You cannot perform analysis without reports, and you cannot have reports without good processes. Different businesses are going to need to focus on different things. You might need to focus on getting good accounting processes in place. Once you have good processes, you can focus on reports. Once you have reports, you can start building the skillset for analysis. If you are in accounting, developing a skill in analysis will be very helpful in your career, because it is so valuable for a business. Let me explain what is happening on a practical level. If you are running an organization, you spend a lot of time solving problems. If your employees are operating at the process level, where they are only focused on executing a process, whenever something happens that does not fit the process, it becomes a problem. The employee then sends the problem up to the boss to solve. This eats up a lot of time, because then the boss ends up spending a lot of time solving problems, when they should be spending their time performing higher level activities like setting the direction of the business. The ideal situation is for employees to bring the boss solutions, but that requires analysis. Imagine if all your employees, not only performed the process, but also generated reports and performed analysis on how to improve the business. Instead of bringing the boss problems, they would bring solutions, and all the boss has to do is sign their approval. That is why analysis is incredibly valuable and can supercharge a business and your career. Unfortunately, racial issues come up in our judicial system. A Time to Kill deals with those issues head-on, in a gripping way. A Time to Kill stars Samuel L. Jackson as Carl Lee Hailey, a heartbroken father who avenges his daughter's brutal assault by shooting the bigoted men responsible for the crime as they are on their way to trial. He turns to Jake Brigance (played by Matthew McConaughey) to defend him. Brigance is a new lawyer who has inherited his firm from a his disbarred mentor, played by Donald Sutherland. Brigance struggles to get Hailey acquitted in this small, segregated Southern town, given Hailey's race and the deliberate nature of his crimes. Hailey and Brigance struggle not only against the community’s prejudice is personified by the nefarious prosecutor (played by Kevin Spacey) who tries to rig the trial, often in ways that are completely unconstitutional. A Time to Kill is based on the book by the same name by John Grisham. This was his first novel -- which became a best seller set up Grisham’s entire career. Even though this was a more serious legal movie than I tend to deal with on this channel, it was fun to take a look at Grisham’s first legal thriller. You can tell that some of the nuance of his later works is missing here, but the story is incredible. I missed this when it came out in 1996 (and I don’t think this one gets played on cable -- for obvious reasons). (Thanks to CuriousityStream for sponsoring this video and helping to make this channel possible) I get asked a lot about whether being a practicing attorney is like being a lawyer on TV. I love watching legal movies and courtroom dramas. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are ridiculous. Today I'm taking a break from representing clients and teaching law students how to kick ass in law school to take on lawyers in the movies and on TV. While all legal movies and shows take dramatic license to make things more interesting (nobody wants to see hundreds of hours of brief writing), many of them have a grain of truth.
