(2 Feb 2016) The Tehran Stock Exchange has rallied to a year-long high in the wake of Iran's landmark nuclear deal with world powers last summer. Hamid Rouhbakhsh, a spokesman for the stock exchange, on Tuesday said the index was at the highest peak it had reached in more than twelve months. The historic 14 July nuclear accord brought about the lifting of international sanctions last month, after the United Nations certified that Iran has met its commitments to curbing its nuclear activities. Rouhbakhsh said the volume of daily trade has increased from 40 million US dollars to 133 million US dollars since the implementation of the deal in January 2016. He said the trend has encouraged foreign investors to get involved in Iran's stock exchange. Stockbroker Tahereh Mollaie said the rise shows that "trust is returning to the market." Iran expects an economic breakthrough after the lifting of sanctions, which will allow it to access overseas assets and sell crude oil more freely. English/Nat The Iranian Government is promising to cut the country's rampant inflation by two-thirds by the end of the year. And at the same time, the country's stock exchange is calling on foreign investors to return to Tehran and buy shares in Iranian companies. Iran is convinced its entering a new economic dawn despite tough trade sanctions imposed on it by the United States. Just like the snow in the mountains above the capital Tehran, Asian and European attitude towards Iran appears to be thawing. The Koran says there can be no profit without risk and on the Tehran Stock Exchange they are taking the teachings of the Prophet to heart. Two hundred and one companies are now listed on the exchange and according to the deputy director many are underpriced. On the face of it this provides an ideal situation for overseas investors. But share ownership is limited to a 49 per cent stake in any firm and only Iranian companies are quoted. The rules of trading are a virtual mirror of Western exchanges - though taking any dividends out of Iran may be prevented under the rules of the country's Central Bank. Those rules are under review and the stock exchange message is clear. SOUNDBITE: (English) Iran is piece of cake and land of opportunity - believe me. SUPER CAPTION: Hamid Fahimirad, Deputy Director Tehran Stock Exchange But U-S investors will miss out on a slice of the cake because of the current trade sanctions. SOUNDBITE: (English) I don't like these sanctions, I don't like these skirmishes between Iran and whatever country. We hope that soon all these problems are solved and that we can be in good relations with every country. SUPER CAPTION: A.H Nikbakht, International Affairs Director Tehran Stock Exchange Relations with some countries are already good. Swiss watches on sale at Tehran's newest shopping mall are attracting considerable consumer interest. Japanese electronics are also much in demand. But for how much longer? Officially inflation is quoted at 59 per cent a year - though its widely accepted to be much higher. The Economic Ministry's solution is to replace imported goods with domestically manufactured products while at the same time increasing exports - especially in the industrial sector. President Rafsanjani knows its asking a lot to bring inflation down by two-thirds this year. But for ordinary Iranian's who's monthly salaries average a hundred U-S dollars its a policy which they can only pray will work. "FINEX; an event with abundant investment opportunities" is the slogan of the 8th International Exhibition on Exchange, Bank and Insurance in Tehran. FINEX is the most important Iranian financial gathering and is attended by listed companies in such fields as securities and commodities exchanges, commercial and investment banks, investment funds and insurance companies. More than 360 Iranian and foreign companies have participated in the exhibition. Iran's first vice president says the government seriously supports stock exchange market and the companies listed on the stock market are considered as exporter companies. Insurance industry reduces risks in economic activities; this is while lack of security in investment will create problems for investors. Accordingly "insurance" forms another pillar of financial markets. Exchange market, Bank and insurance are the three main elements which play a key role in every economy. According paying due attention to each one of them boosts the economic situation of any country.

http://profitabletradingtips.com/trading-investing/trading-iran-stocks Trading Iran Stocks By www.ProfitableTradingTips.com The interminable negotiations between the six major powers and Iran may well be successful. If that is the case, sanctions will be gradually lifted. An opportunity in such a situation could be trading Iran stocks. The Wall Street Journal suggests that Iran stocks could be a target of foreign investors if sanctions are lifted. If Iran reaches a nuclear deal and sanctions are lifted, Western investors are likely to queue up to invest in the country. The first stop for much of that money, at least initially, could be the Tehran Stock Exchange. “Iran has a unique combination of frontier and developed characteristics that make it potentially compelling,” said Alison Graham, chief investment officer of New York-based frontier-markets investor Voltan Capital Management LLC. “It has a well-educated population, a large middle class, a substantial industrial base and has made progress in dismantling subsidies to get its macro house in order. At the same time, growth, valuations and potential investment upside are similar to frontier countries at a much earlier stage of development.” Iran could use an infusion of foreign capital and has an attractive mix of investment opportunities. But, anyone interested in trading Iran stocks needs to do their homework first. What Does Iran Have to Offer? Iran has a trillion dollar a year gross domestic product ranking it 19 in the world. Oil is by far its greatest resource. The country has a well-educated middle class and a significant brain drain due to lack of opportunities. There is significant room of business expansion in many sectors. And Iran has a stock market in Tehran. Months ago Reuters published an article about the Iran stock exchange and how successful negotiations over nuclear issues could open this stock market to foreign investors and traders. Years of economic sanctions and isolation have ravaged Iran's economy but created one of the last unexploited opportunities for international portfolio investors, who could start moving their money in this year if geopolitics permit. The Tehran Stock Exchange is "the last, large untapped emerging market in the world", said Ramin Rabii, managing director of Turquoise Partners, a Tehran-based investment firm with around $200 million of assets under management. The point of trading Iran stocks versus foreign direct investment in Iran is that the stock exchange will be the quickest way to benefit from economic improvements associated with the lifting of sanctions and increased foreign investment in Iran. Follow the Iranians As negotiations appear to be heading toward success Iranians are buying stocks on the Tehran exchange. Stocks went up more than a hundred percent over the last year and trading Iran stocks picked up an expectation of normalized relations with the West. Bloomberg Business writes about how Iranians pile into stocks. While daily trading equals only about 22 seconds worth of stock transactions in the U.S., Iran’s market has been booming. The benchmark index soared 133 percent this year through Dec. 24 to a record, beating returns posted by the 93 major global equity gauges tracked by Bloomberg. Most of the rally followed the June election of 65-year-old Rouhani, who delivered an initial accord with global powers just five months into office. Whether the Iranian economy goes up or down after normalization of relations with the West, trading Iran stocks could be profitable simply based on volatility. As always do your own homework and never be afraid to stay out of a trade that you do not understand. http://youtu.be/MkXC-46s-zM

The value of the Iranian currency has spiked suddenly reaching unprecedented figures. Consequently, Iran's gold market was affected drastically also, with prices shooting up. And the effect of US-led sanctions leveled against Iran started to bite. Meanwhile, Tehran Stock Exchange's overall index started to rise on August 8, 2012 and it has continued to rise dramatically. Economic analysts in Iran already have several explanations for this. While some experts contend that the rise is due to the decline in the value of the Iranian Rial, others believe the jump has happened, as a result of relative stability in the currency and gold market. However, authorities in the Tehran Stock Exchange believe the rise is the result of long-term measures taken by the Iranian government to fine-tune the capital market. In this edition of the show, we try to take a closer look at the reasons behind the recent rise of the overall index and analyze the significant factors influencing Iran's capital market.
