They’re combined on their way from Tokyo to Okayama, then split up and travel to two different places. - Unlike most modern trains, Sunrise Express has not one or two, but six types of accommodations! - Let's say you don't want to spend a fortune on your privacy, or you're going to travel with a companion. In this case, you can opt for class B which offers passengers different kinds of accommodations. - Sunrise Express has everything you may need to have a comfortable trip. There are enough toilets to take an early morning bathroom trip without getting stuck in a restroom line. - There's one important thing you should remember unless you're traveling in a first class Single Deluxe compartment. If you want to take a shower, you need to buy a special card. - Shinkansen's operating speed can reach 200 miles per hour! But according to test runs in 2003, Shinkansen can increase its speed up to 361 miles per hour! - The train has been running for almost 55 years and has already carried more than 10 billion passengers. - All Japanese high-speed trains have an automatic emergency brake system that comes into action in case of an earthquake. - The world's busiest train station is Shinjuku which has more than 3.6 million visitors. - The longest train that runs upside down is also in Japan. To see this wonder, you need to travel an hour outside of Tokyo, where you'll find yourself in a beachy prefecture called Chiba. - There is so much train fandom in the country that train lovers separate into numerous groups, from those whose hobby is to walk around train stations to those who can't live without train lunch boxes. Transportation Vocabulary & Phrasal Verbs - GET ON, GET OUT OF, RIDE, GO

08:04
http://www.engvid.com/ I GET OFF a train, bus, or subway. But: I GET OUT OF a car or taxi. I RIDE a bike and a motorcycle. How do you get to work or school? Learn how to use phrasal verbs to talk about transportation, then test yourself on the quiz at http://www.engvid.com/transportation-vocabulary-phrasal-verbs/ Hello. How are you? Today, we're going to learn about getting around. This means taking public transportation or talking about how you got somewhere or how you're going to go somewhere. All of the examples I've written in the past tense because somebody might ask you, "How did you get here?" "What? I flew because I have a magic carpet. That's how. Why?" We have different ways of getting places. Verbs: You can say, "I took a 'bus', a 'train', a 'cab', or a 'taxi'." "Cab" and "taxi" are the same. Or you can take a "plane". So with all of these nouns -- "plane", "cab", "taxi", "train", "bus" -- you're going to use the verb "took". There are no exceptions. You cannot say, "I rode a bus. I rode a train." It's wrong. "Rode" means that you were on top of the bus or on the train doing some bus surfing -- didn't happen. I hear people say this a lot, "How did you get here?" "I ride car." "Wow. What were you doing on top of the car?" If you "ride" something, you're always on top of it. What can you -- what can you ride? I can ride a bicycle. So "ride" literally means you're on top of something. Tell me what you can ride. You can ride a bicycle, a motorcycle, a scooter, a moped. If you're on top of it, you're riding it -- a horse. "I go by car." No, no, no. These, unfortunately, are wrong. We don't say, "I go by car" or "I ride car." We say, very easily, past tense of the verb "drive": "drove". "How did you get here?" "I drove." You do not need to say, "I drove by car" because you're not driving a bus; you're not driving an airplane; you're not driving a train. Very simply, you can say, "I drove." Another thing that I hear people say is, "I go by foot." "One foot? You have one foot? Did you hop here the whole time? You must be tired. You go by foot? Wow." Maybe you only have one foot. That's cool. You should drive or take a bus. Another thing: "I walk on foot." This means that you take your hands, and you literally put them underneath your feet and you walk -- if this is your foot -- you walk on your hands. This is painful. I do not recommend this. I would not literally want to walk on my hands. Please don't walk on your feet. Do not walk on your hands. "I walk on your foot" would be, "I'm sorry" -- walk on hands, walk on feet. You'd be stepping on your feet, and you would never get anywhere. You just want to say, "I walked." "How did you get here today, Ronnie?" "I walked." Another thing that's really confusing in English -- and I understand why -- is when to use the phrasal verb "got on" or "got off", and when to say "got in" or "got out". So as an example, we would say, "I got off the train." Let's write that down. Or you can say, "I got on the train." Also, we use this with a bus. So you can say, "I got on the bus" and "I got off the bus." You don't need to use extra words. Like, you don't want to say, "I got off on the bus." You don't want to say, "I got the train off." Unnecessary. Please do not use extra words when you say this. You're just going to say, "I got on" -- the verb -- the noun. Or "I got off", the noun. "Train", "bus", and the "plane", or an "airplane". So think about this: What does -- or what do trains, buses, and airplanes have in common? No? Nothing? No? Okay. A train, a bus, or an airplane has many people. You can think of it as something that is public or very large. So a train, a bus, or an airplane, you have to pay. It's really big, and you can fit many people on it. So you're going to get on or get off something that is very big. You're going to get off something that's very big. Or if it's public transportation, you can fit many people.

22 GENIUS HACKS EVERY TRAVELER CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT

20:27
TRAVELER'S HACKS Camping and traveling time is supposed to be fun. And I want to help you make this time most comfortable and fun possible with these hacks. I often faced this problem on the beach. When you need to take off your swimming panties wet from the water but all dressing booths are occupied and you're in a hurry, no time to wait. I got you! Check out the way to take off your panties without taking your shorts or pants off. Take your scissors and cut them on the both sides. Then sew 2 swimming bra locks on the cut edges of your bikini accordingly. Voila! Now all you need to do next time you're on the beach is unlock these locks and remove your panties with a mere flick of your wrist. ; ) Simple and genius way to deal with sweat - take off your bra and apply 1 hygienic pad to each bra cup. Another handy hack is trash sorting. Here's how you do it. Take a trash bucket, then add 3 bags of different colors. Keep them together using 4 clothing pegs. If you need to go out light, hands free but don't know where to put your keys at, I've got an idea. Make a shoelace key holder. It's very neat. You can run or jump or just walk fast and nothing will happen with the key. If you like to make lunch breaks or brunches with your friends in the open air, here's an idea for a foil dinnerware. Take a piece of foil and wrap it round the bowl or can, any vessel of needed volume. Then take a foil of, it'll have the form of your bowl, now you can use it as usual. Did you know that you can use a condom as a fire starter? Now you do! Check out the details in the video! TRAIN TRACKS You NEVER Want To Ride On

12:35
Try out ThePremium Network for free: http://goo.gl/qXmusu Train Tracks You NEVER Want To Ride On Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Trains are a notoriously safe and scenic way in which to travel long distances. But not all train tracks are created equally, and some of them are slightly more treacherous than others. You might not think twice about buying a train ticket, even if the idea of flying in a plane makes you feel afraid, but you are going to want to map out your route a bit more thoroughly from now on. In this video, we will show you ten of the most dangerous train tracks in the world. Some were built a long time ago, but others are more recently terrifying inventions. You might have guessed that The Devil’s Nose is a bit of a scary place, but you might still be shocked at how steep an incline the train has to climb. A couple different railways, including the Kuranda Scenic Railway, and the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad try to distract you with the word “scenic,” but don’t be fooled. Sure, tall cliffs and waterfalls can be gorgeous, but they can also be quite scary depending on just how far away from them you are. Then there is the Aso Minami Route in Japan, which passes right by an active volcano. The train is occasionally closed because of the toxic sulfur clouds in the air, which really inspires confidence in its passengers. If you’re afraid of heights, you’ll definitely want to skip the Train to the Clouds, which is one of the highest trains in the world. The National Zoological Park is a 176-acre zoo near the Old Fort in Delhi, India. A 16th-century citadel, a sprawling green island and a motley collection of animals and birds, all in the middle of a burgeoning urban Delhi The Indian Board for Wildlife felt in the year 1952 to have a zoo in the national capital of the country to provide recreation to people at large. Accordingly, an ad-hoc committee of some prominent nature lovers of Delhi, including Smt. Indira Gandhi, was constituted under the Chairmanship of Chief Commissioner to formulate a proposal for establishment of Zoological Park for Delhi. Mr M.E.F.Bowring Welsh, of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, was appointed as its Secretary. The committee met on 9th September, 1953 and approved the site between Purana Quila and Humayun's Tomb for the purpose. What Will Happen If a Train Goes Too Fast?

10:02
What would happen if a train went too fast? Across the globe, millions of people travel by train every day. For some, trains are just another way to get from A to B, while others are totally fascinated by this type of transport. But there probably isn't a single person who hasn't at least once wondered what would happen if a train sped up way too fast. First of all, your body can't handle fast acceleration. Believe it or not, a person can survive any constant speed, be it 30 mph or 10 billion mph. But if a train (a car, a plane, or any other type of transport) accelerates too quickly, this may cause all the passengers to lose consciousness. Do you wanna learn more? Then watch our new video! TIMESTAMPS: What would happen if a typical train went too fast? 1:43 What is the scariest outcome of a train going too fast? 3:03 What would happen if you pulled the emergency brake? 4:38 Would a coin on the track derail a train? 7:45 #trainwreck #traincrash #trainaccident Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The Shanghai Maglev train can reach a speed of a whopping 267 mph! For $8, the Maglev train will take you from Shanghai's Pudong International Airport to the outskirts of the city, where you'll need to transfer to a metro line to get into the city itself. - When a train speeds up on the rails, this can bring about some serious problems. First of all, your body can't handle fast acceleration. - If your train starts to go too fast, you'll experience low-frequency motions and vibrations. These movements are what gives you motion sickness. - Minor derailments, when a train doesn't leave its track completely, happen much more often than you’d think. And even if no passengers get hurt in such accidents, the railway system in that area temporarily stops functioning. - As for the derailment of a passenger train, it's usually a messy and terrifying business. However, you can increase your chances of surviving and remaining unhurt. According to experts, it’s best to choose a seat in the middle of the train. - If you pull the emergency brake, you provoke a rapid loss of pressure. Air gets vented from the brake pipe and, as a result, the brakes literally slam shut. On the one hand, you'll reach your goal and the train WILL stop. But this will be a violent occasion. A lot of people will be knocked down and hurt. - There's a popular belief that a coin left on the track can derail a train. However, this is next to impossible. The only person who can be hurt or even fatally injured is the one who conducts such an experiment. - The Federal Railroad Administration reports that 1.4% of all derailments that happened from 2009 to 2012 were caused by something left on the track. These objects included ice, snow, and coal. Articles of Faith-Trains

I've been through so many stations My feet never touch the ground I always leave when I should have waited Now my only comfort is the sound I was blind to life and I left to wander I watched the distant weather vanes The air is just a wall of thunder And my windows tears and rain But right now I ride these rails - a long way to go I'm still very far away from home Somebody call the conductor The heat's travelling through my hands And I can't get a grasp on what I am I'll ride this train to eternity Or at least until I reach L.A. Then I'll turn around and ride again My only comfort is the sound I travel in trains (Written by Dave Shield)

Website: http://taiwaneverything.cc Travel in Taiwan: http://tit.com.tw/appdownload.html Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/taiwantravelmag Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/taiwanevery... WHO ARE WE? We are a small publishing company (Vision) based in Taipei. We produce an English magazine (Travel in Taiwan) introducing you to Taiwan as a travel destination. Read it and you'll find lots of useful information about Taiwan. We also have a website with many fun-to-read articles. We try to make a video or two every week. Let us know what you think about this channel and what you would like to see about Taiwan. Happy travels! Travel in Taiwan 2017/09/10 Wulai is a small indigenous settlement that can be quickly reached from central Taipei. For many decades it has been a popular day-trip destination for local residents and international visitors looking for some respite from the capital’s urban jungle. This is a great area to experience indigenous culture, do some hot-spring bathing, and take in refreshing mountain scenery. Wulai still has a host of attractions that make a trip worthwhile. 1. Wulai Old Street (02:30) Bus No. 849 drops you off close to the northern end of Wulai Old Street, a narrow street lined with eateries and shops selling myriad indigenous specialties and souvenirs. Among the enticing foods you can try here are millet mochi, stir-fried mountain vegetables, bamboo-tube rice, millet and mountain litsea ice cream, wild-boar sausages, range chicken, millet wine, lamb chop soup, almond tea, and much more. If you are looking for souvenirs there is no shortage of indigenous-theme items, such as woven hats, purses, bags, and vests, glass bead bracelets, and also many packaged food and drink products, including mochi cakes and millet wine. 2. Atayal Culture (03:20) The inhabitants of Wulai are mainly from the Atayal tribe, the third-largest indigenous group in Taiwan. If – apart from eating the yummy indigenous food offerings – you want to learn more about this tribe while in Wulai, visit the Wulai Atayal Museum, located close to the northern end of Wulai Old Street (No. 12, Wulai Street). The museum provides you with plenty of info in Chinese and English about the origins of the Atayal and their traditional ways of life, including sections about hunting, weaving, facial tattooing, and so on. At the Waterfall Area you also have the chance to witness song-and-dance performances by tribe members. 3. Hot-Spring Bathing (20:20) Wulai is well known for its hot springs. The clear and odorless Wulai spring waters, about 80 degrees centigrade at their source, are rich in alkaline sodium bicarbonate and believed to have beneficial properties for your skin. While the free riverside open-air hot-spring pools, popular with experienced Taiwan soakers, were dismantled earlier this year, there is no lack of brick-and-mortar hot-spring establishments in and around the village. You can choose from upscale hot-spring resorts such as the Pause Landis Wulai, elegantly designed with private and public hot-spring facilities and offering fine-cuisine dining, to simple hot-spring hotels providing rooms with hot-spring bathtubs for less than NT$100/hour. 4. Waterfall Area (08:00) The scene most closely associated with Wulai is Wulai Waterfall. To get there, cross the bridge at the southern end of Wulai Old Street, turn left, and follow the road along the river, which is closed to vehicles. The walk to the Waterfall Area takes about 20 minutes. The waterfall is an impressive 80 meters high, and is in full view from observation spots on the opposite (road) side of the river it feeds (Nanshi River). 5. Cable Car (08:42) The cable cars you see crossing the river and ascending to a spot above the waterfall have been part of the Wulai scenery for 50 years now. To get to the base station, take the stairs adjacent to the Chief’s Cultural Village. The cable car (adult return ticket: NT$220) not only takes you above the waterfall, but also to the Yun Hsien Resort (www.yun-hsien.com.tw), a small recreation area – like the cable car built in the 1960s – where you can go for a walk among dense forest, row a boat on a small lake, and engage in other pleasantries. Included in these is the Yun Hsien Hotel, should you want to stay a night at the resort. Getting there: Getting to Wulai is simple and convenient. Take the MRT Songshan-Xindian Line to its southern terminal, Xindian. Then take bus No. 849 to the last stop, Wulai, which is at the car park near Wulai Old Street. We are taking a bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai — which will take about 4.5 hours at speeds of 350 kilometers per hour or 217 miles per hour. On our Shanghai tour - we will also take you on a walking tour around Shanghai Old Town and see some traditional Shanghai architecture. And then we’ll take a night river cruise on the Huangpu River and see Shanghai skyline lights at night. 35 CLEVER CAMPING HACKS

17:09
CAMPING HACKS Summer is the ultimate camping and traveling time. Voila! Now all you need to do next time you're on the beach is unlock these locks and remove your panties with a mere flick of your wrist. ;) Simple and genius way to deal with sweat - take off your bra and apply 1 hygienic pad to each bra cup. Now you do! Check out the details in the video! ;) TIMESTAMPS: 2:12 Bathroom into the wild 4:24 Camping washing machine 7:34 Pool noodle 13:17 Awesome packing hack ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5min.crafts/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5.min.crafts/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/5m_crafts Subscribe to 5-Minute MAGIC: http://bit.ly/2ldditZ Subscribe to 5-Minute Crafts GIRLY: https://goo.gl/fWbJqz Subscribe 5-Minute Crafts KIDS: https://goo.gl/PEuLVt The Bright Side of Youtube: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

RESTRICTIONS: Broadcast: NO USE JAPAN, NO USE TAIWAN Digital: NO USE JAPAN, NO USE TAIWAN China plans to develop next-generation vehicles similar to Elon Musk's Hyperloop. Reuters reports that Chinese automaker Geely has signed a deal with the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp. to build a network of ultra-fast trains. The proposed system will use magnetic levitation to allow the trains to float inches above the rail tracks, which eliminates ground friction and increases speed. Like the Hyperloop, the trains will be propelled through vacuum tubes to reduce air resistance. Though not technically supersonic, the trains will travel faster than conventional ones at speeds of up to 1,000 kph, with an aim to reach 4,000 kph in the future. RUNDOWN SHOWS: 1. 14 Roads You Would Never Want to Drive On

10:31
Some people love riding a roller coaster. The feeling of “having their heart in their mouth” makes them thrilled and high on adrenaline. But have you heard of the ways which go through the clouds? Today, let’s visit the most incredible and dangerous roads in the world. They overshadow even the coolest rides and leave people driving on them breathless and terrified. TIMESTAMPS Guoliang Tunnel, China 0:36 Maeklong Railway Market, Thailand 1:22 Yungas Road, Bolivia 1:58 Eyre Highway, Australia 2:47 The “Nose of the Devil” Railway, Ecuador 3:23 Pamban Railway Bridge, India 3:57 Karakoram Highway, Pakistan - China 4:35 Passage de Gois, France 5:12 Leh-Manali Highway, India 5:51 Tianmen Mountain Road, China 6:24 Road through Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia 6:53 Road through Skippers Canyon, New Zealand 7:34 The James W. Dalton Highway, Alaska, USA 8:22 “Train to the Clouds”, Argentina 9:21 SUMMARY - The Guoliang Tunnel is an amazing 0,7 mi (1.2 km) long mountain road in China. The story of its creation is unbelievable! Before its construction there had been a very dangerous path with narrow steep stairs which didn’t have any handrails. - The sellers take their goods away and fold their tents in seconds, giving way to the train which moves at a speed of about 9 mi/h (15 km/h). This is the reason the market is sometimes called Talat Rom Hoop which means “Market Umbrella Close”. - Yungas Road (also called Death Road) connects Bolivian cities of La Paz and Coroico. It descends from the height of 2 miles to 1,181 ft (3,300 to 360 m) above sea level. Despite the fact that the road is very narrow, even trucks manage to pass each other. - If you look at this highway, you will surely ask, “So what is so dangerous on this straight road?” Right, this is the longest straight road in the world with the length of about 994 miles (1,600 km)! - The “Nose of the Devil” railway is built on the rock which has the same name. It was called this way because people believed that Devil didn’t want a railway to pass through that place - that’s why so many deaths occurred among the people who built the road. - Pamban is India’s first sea bridge built in 1914. It connects the mainland part of India with the island which has the same name. In 1964 there was a storm which hit the island. It overturned a passenger train and all 150 people who were inside died. - At 807,7 miles (1,300 km) long, Karakoram is considered the world’s most high-altitude international highway. One of its sections passes at the altitude of more than 15,091 ft (4,600 m). - This is the road between the island of Noirmoutier and mainland France. This passage seems quite common, doesn’t it? It is, until you get to know that to drive along it, you will need to know the schedule of the tides! In fact, the road is approachable only twice a day - before and right after the low tide. - Leh-Manali Highway runs through several high mountain passes. It is located at the altitude of 13,034 to 16,404 ft (4 to 5 km). This road is extremely narrow, covered with dirt and gravel, but this doesn’t prevent local drivers from zooming through at high speeds. - This road leads to the top of Tianmen Mountain where a Buddhist temple is situated. It is only 6.8 miles (11 km) long but it can boast 99 bends with the distance between some of the curves less than 656 ft (200 m)! - The highway which runs through the dried Solar de Uyuni is located at the altitude of 11,811 ft (3,650 m) above sea level. Local landscapes are so unusual that they can be taken for some extraterrestrial grounds! - This road was built in 1880s and it is a true wonder of engineering. The construction took only 5 years and it has remained mostly unchanged since then! This amazing passage has numerous holes, cliffs, steep descents and sharp bends. - Only 108,7 miles (175 km) of this 413,8 miles (666 km) highway are covered with bitumen, the rest of the way you have to drive on gravel. Tough weather conditions, winds, unexpected changes from 2 to 4 lanes and back, poor visibility have made this road particularly deadly. - If you decide to make a 15-hour train journey, be ready to pass through 21 tunnels, 42 bridges and viaducts, 2 spirals and 2 more zigzags on the 134,8 mi (217 km) road! This railway is one of the highest in the world, its top point (at the end of the line) is situated at the altitude of 13,780 ft (4,200 km). 7 Air Travel Tips to Know Before Your Flight

03:28
Many people who travel by airplanes don’t know about all of their peculiarities. These 7 amazing and simple tips will make you feel better and more comfortable during your flight. TIMESTAMPS The seats by the window are colder 0:21 Avoid drinking coffee or tea 0:49 Tables and seat pockets are the dirtiest places on the plane 1:12 Morning is the best time for a flight 1:44 The service is better in the final rows 2:06 Don’t inflate your neck cushion to full volume 2:33 Always go with a special menu 2:49 SUMMARY - The temperature outside the cabin can fall to as low as −140°F to −149°С, which cools down the temperature of the plane’s fuselage. You can feel this external cold above all in the seats by the windows, especially during summer when you wear light clothing. - Keep in mind: the drinking water used to prepare hot beverages onboard can contain malignant bacteria such as E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Specialists who have tested the water on various airlines have reached this conclusion on more than one occasion. - Pockets on the seat back in front of you are sometimes full of trash accumulated during flights. Yep, they aren’t cleaned as thoroughly as you would expect. When it comes to the tray tables, it’s even worse! - Later flights are usually delayed because of the ‘ripple’ effects of delays throughout the day. Moreover, if you have a fear of flying, specialists claim that a degree of turbulence is reduced in the morning. - If you sit in the first rows, you will be the first to leave the plane at the end of the flight as well as get a choice of meal. On the other hand, if you pick a seat closer to the back of the cabin, you’ll more attentive service from the cabin crew! - When you take a blow-up pillow onto the plane, don’t forget about the laws of physics! If you fill it with air completely, it might burst due to the changes in pressure in the cabin! - Airlines offer a choice of different in-flight meals such as vegetarian, seafood, halal, kosher, and many others. Even if you have no particular preference, many travelers recommend going for one of the specialist meal choices. Do you have a lot of friends who travel often?
